Rickea Jackson offers to testify vs. Falcons’ Pearce in domestic case

  1. Why did the officer pull a gun on him when he was standing outside the car? Only thing the defense can use here

  2. Arrested – it’s over

Ram his car into Rickea’s car – it’s so over

Ran over a cop evading arrest – it’s very much over

Rickea will testify – it’s extremely over

I wonder what will come up next. He will get the chair at this pace

  3. Hopefully he does some time for this. I’d hate for him to be released just because of who he is and who he plays for.

  4. Here’s the reality of this article. This situation isn’t nearly as bad as originally thought based on the reports. This letter is coming from her legal team with their side of the story and it still sounds much better than what we had thought.

    1. The domestic violence charge comes from his car hitting hers on the road, there was never any actual physical damage done to her in form of him striking her himself. This is huge in terms of how the NFL treats its DV suspensions.
    2. Based on the videos we have from the police chase, both his & her vehicle looked like they’d sustained minimal damage, nothing that would cause air bags to be deployed.
    3. The main charge to focus on is the felony battery of an officer, this carries a minimum 5 year prison sentence if convicted in the state of Florida, this will entirely come down to videos & witness statements. There will be plenty of both seeing as it sounds like this happened outside the police station. I’d imagine given the context we now have this gets talked down to a lower charge unless video says he fully meant to harm the officer and showed violent action.

Overall I’d expect parole, anger management, and a 4-6 game suspension from the NFL.

  5. Im having a problem with all the Falcons fans on FB talking about hopong this guy gets off easy, not much of a case, reduced punishment and limited suspension, just another Ray Lewis, etc.

If its my organization, I do not employ people like this. He has a history.

  6. Even if he does manage to get away with little consequences from the court you have to think the league will hand down a hefty punishment so you’re looking at probably missing him for most the season at minimum – which makes me wonder what Stefanski and Ulbrich are coming up with to replace him. It’s going to suck if we have to look at the drift for a replacement considering the other needs we have at other positions.

  7. Falcons would be smart to recoup the 7M he’s due in his contract and just add another player at his position in FA with the increase in CAP resources. The worst of the PR will likely still to come. Having a well known, honestly more famous female athlete taking the stand exposing even more stuff that happened. The dashcam/body cam footage, it likey get worse for him…and that’s IF he can avoid jail time.

  8. Is he a first time offender?  If so I feel like he’ll get away with zero punishment, which is incredibly unfortunate.  It’s clear he needs help…

  9. Sucks but have to cut him. He doesn’t seem like the type to learn from his mistakes so something will likely happen again.

  10. So glad she’s not refusing to press charges/retracting her statement like what usually happens in DV cases. Lock this degenerate up for a long time.

  11. Prayers to her and James’ mother. I been fucking around the past few days, but this makes me sick to my gut. I do want all the info first before I call Pearce a psychotic idiot who needs some serious mental help. But if he did all of this…..he’s cooked. And if all is true….good riddance, dude.
