Denver injured Drake Maye in the AFC Championship.
No one knew it during the AFC Championship. We saw the Patriots playing conservatively because Stiddy started, but they were actually forced to play conservatively because Maye couldn't throw the ball. That's a big difference.
Many in this subreddit said after the game the Broncos would've beaten the Pats with Bo. You were right. Cheers.

Yeah maybe. But Bo wasn’t healthy, and we’re not going to hang a banner over a hypothetical situation.
Everybody is 0-0 now with a long, long road ahead.
Maye’s injury is only part of the problem with his super bowl performance. Sure the injury didn’t help, but he wasn’t able to diagnosis what Seattle was doing with their defense. They were disguising their corner and safety blitzes perfectly. You could replay that game with a healthy Maye and they are still losing it every time.
If my grandma had wheels she’d be a bicycle. I’m sure there were “what ifs” during our superbowl runs too. Ultimately, fuck the patriots regardless.
This is cope to protect Maye. He was terrible for the entire playoff, there’s no reason to think an injury that barely impacted his practice or ability to be on the field mattered even the slightest.
Darnold also had an “injury” like this through several playoff games and was fine.
Pats fans just don’t want to accept that the regular season was an illusion and there guy isn’t that good.
Season is over, stop dwelling on hypotheticals. It’s on to 2026 and this team will be as hungry as ever.
I mean if we kicked that FG to go up 10-0 we might have won that game even without Nix. Or if Stidham didn’t do that awful turnover that led to the Pats TD
Are we trying to cope why drake played terrible in th playoffs?
I felt robbed when Bo went down. It would’ve hurt way less to have left the Buffalo game with a healthy Bo coming off a fantastic performance and a loss than winning but losing Bo. I knew immediately we were finished. Even with Stiddy we probably would’ve beaten the Pats if we kicked that FG, but we weren’t beating a real contender (a non schedule merchant) without Bo.

Weird because he looked bad in the Houston game too.

Oh so now an injury is the excuse?
No shit
The logic of “Drake Maye was hurt” -> “Broncos would’ve beaten the pats with Bo” makes no sense whatsoever. They’re unrelated.
The gap between Stidham and Bo and the final score are what show we would’ve won that game, an we’ve known that for weeks.
If anything, it just now adds the question of “Would a healthy Bo have beaten a healthy Maye”
Doesn’t really matter. Just gotta try and put more teams away next year. Like those chances.
Can we stop with these hypothetical rhetoric? The Patriots beat our team that fielded a back up QB. We lost.
We have a bright 2026. Russ is off the books. We can draft offensive weapons for Bo. Our defense is still the same group and locked up key players. Let’s crush ’26.
Bro who cares? Season is over. Future is bright. That’s way she goes bud
I don’t really care about “if” and “buts”. I am proud of the Broncos this and am excited for the future. Injuries are part of the game. It’s happens. Sucks thay it happened. But it happened. Nothing is guaranteed.
On to next year.
And Germany would’ve won if they didn’t invade Russia. We’ll never know guy
They were getting pressure easily with just a 4 man rush. When they blitzed it was even worse. I don’t think it would’ve made much of a difference
This dude payed by the word? Jesus.
This reads like Pats fans copium. The reason he played like ass is cos the entire left side of his O Line put in a performance that would get them benched in high school and he was running for his life.
It was the perfect storm between a dosghit OL performance and a truly elite Defence on the other side. Funny thing is he’d already turned in a performance like this against Houston but got away with it cos CJ Stroud self immolated. Wasn’t hearing anything about how injured he was after that, simply because the Pats won.
Second time around, they ran into a buzzsaw. No mistakes from Seattle to hand them the game and their errors were punished ruthlessly.
I think with bo they definitely would have beat the pats but I’m not so sure about the Seahawks
I think this downplays our defense a little much.
Grammar?
We would have beaten the Pats if the “fumble” was called correctly like it was to begin with, that’s the only time the Pats scored
Insert picture of LeBron postgame in an arm sling.
Buffalo could make the same argument
We wouldve crushed the Pats with Bo regardless of any injury to Maye. Our defense was kicking their ass from the get go
We woulda lost *better* to the seahawks.
Just happy for this season and excited for whats to come!
