Giants Offensive Staff

  1. A whole lot of individuals who if were OC alone I’d have a panic attack but as a complete staff I’m willing to hear out

  2. This might be the most putrid offensive staff ever assembled I love dart with all my heart but how in gods name can he save us from this

  3. The breadth of reactions in these comments is cracking me up. You really covered the whole spectrum, guys.

  4. For those scoffing at the names, I just want to point out that the likes of Josh McDaniels, Ben McAdoo, Doug Marrone, and Todd Downing were on the Patriots’ staff this past season who were also coming off of a 4-win season just like the Giants, and none of them had good reputations from their previous stints mainly as HCs or OCs. They made the Super Bowl regardless.

A lot of these guys are probabyl really good assistants, just not good head coaches

  5. Would hope they could’ve done better at the QB spot but otherwise it’s workable. I like Nagy, he will be solid

  6. It’s a tonne of experience which I think is good as we have so little experience on the field with our offence

With Eluemunor and Van Roten as free agents I think our oldest pencilled in starter right now is Runyan at 28, our starters at QB/HB/WR1/TE1 are all 22-24 years old, LT 27, C 26

I think having an offensive coaching staff with 2 former NFL head coaches, a former college head coach, and 2 former offensive coordinators (neither being the coordinator here) will be huge for development across the board

  7. Is there a reason why we have the quarterback coach and passing game coordinator be the same person while other good offenses like the rams and Seahawks have different people for those positions?

  8. Happy with this outside of Nagy. He has had success with superstars that were already winning and well… mahommes wasn’t in the playoffs. That’s not even considering his HC tenure which has only partial relevance here.
    Still, very, cautiously hopeful.

  9. I’m not necessarily gloom and doom on the coaching staff, but I’m still not super enthusiastic about a Matt Nagy lead offense. We’ll see.

  10. Just get wins and get into the playoffs period! We don’t have to annihilate teams with the exception of the CowGirls and the Tush Pushers, we can plow them to no end!

  11. I’ll judge them off of the product they put on the field. We’ve seen what Dart, Skattebo, AT and Nabers can do with a bad coaching staff, so I think the offense can succeed with this staff, but we’ll see.

  12. A lot of experience which is good but we’ll see how the egos clash with most of them being former HC/OCs in their career.

  13. If we had a rookie hc with all that ex-hc experience behind him I’d say this was a disaster in the making. But with Harbaugh as hc I’m kind of intrigued.

  14. It’s all about the players staying healthy and of course making plays. Our team lacked talent and skilled players. Joe Schoen is the guy to blame. John needs a good draft and bring in some skilled free agents.

  15. Im only medium on Nagy but if he flops there are some great names ready to go. Really A+ staff now that its built out.

  16. Holy fuck this is bad

Edit: whoever downvotes me has to understand, Harbaugh is a CEO coach. He’s only as good as his staff. This staff is atrocious

  17. Looking at my college fanbase (Ohio State), we definitely freaked out at first with Chip Kelly in 2024 and Matt Patricia in 2025 but both of them proved to be great coordinators (at least in CFB, we know what happened to Chip when he went back to the NFL). Hoping for something similar here

  18. Remember, this sub was excited about Joe Judge.

Now, there is a collection of people who were such good assistants that they all became head coaches and that didn’t work out. A job that has worked out for about 20 people, ON THE PLANET, in the past 25 years.

  19. I actually feel much better about Nagy after bringing in Greg Roman.

My biggest question mark is the OL coach.

  20. I’d argue the OC hire is the only one I’m not a fan of given his style offense doesn’t excite me but overall the whole staff looks fine

  21. I know some people are disappointed but i look at this as huge upgrades. We have a few people that were head coaches that are now just doing basic fundamental stuff for us which will be way easier for them to find success with.

  22. So hey it’s 2/11 and all of this is totally speculative. It seems like Harbaugh thought Monken was coming with him and he was taken by surprise. It seems like we know this at this point.

That being said, with the hot names off the board and no um stand out young guys going anywhere this year to my knowledge, especially at this point – I kind of like this as a pivot ! Gives you a lot of bites at the apple or competence. And hey if it doesn’t work out hopefully he moves on quickly with enough time to get the top guys on the market. Or maybe it works so well that guys get jobs elsewhere ! But yeah, this seems like a short term solution and with that in mind I think it could be a lot worse 😬. I think he showed some creativity with this. But hey we will see in a big way in, damn it, 7 months 🙁
