Hello everyone, how are y'all doing? It's me, your favorite foreign mod coming with the 2026 State of the Subreddit Poll!

This was an amazing season, full of highs and lows. And now looking forward to the next season we, the mod team, would like to hear your thoughts in the state of the sub and how we can improve it.

Here's the poll. Please answer it honestly.

Some thoughts:

First, let's talk about the season. The Broncos have returned to being a competitive and fun team to watch (maybe even too fun; watching this team hasn't been good for my heart this year), and I believe this has positively impacted our community. Anyone who remembers the state of the sub a few years ago will remember how negative everything was and how many people were starting to lose interest in the team. In my opinion, one of the most dangerous feelings for a sports fan is "apathy". The inability to feel anything, even anger, for your favorite team is one of the easiest ways to fall into ostracism. Of course, I'm not saying we've reached that point, far from it, but I believe we were kinda heading that way. Seeing this team reinvigorated, even dreaming of the Super Bowl, is very comforting. I'm happy to see the community happy again.

Second, I'll talk about our experience as mods. I believe it wasn't a bad season in terms of moderation. Of course, everything is easier when you're winning. The worst days of moderation that I can remember were during the loss to the Jaguars and the win against the Bills. We noticed an excessive number of reports on those days. Several users were banned and posts deleted. I personally don't mind healthy banter, but people like to exaggerate a bit. We want this community to be a good place for all Broncos fans to come together for the team. And even some fans from outside as long as they are respectful.

Third, we have some ideas for the future of the sub, mainly regarding customization. This community was built in the past based on the old Reddit, but the vast majority of our users today use the new Reddit or mobile apps. We are thinking of ways to improve the experience for everyone. Stay tuned!

Finally, I would like to hear your opinions. Feel free to comment, praise, criticize, or suggest something for our community. Thank you!

Go Broncos!!

  1. 1. Self-promotion (blogs, newsletters, whatever) – NOT MERCHANDISE – needs to be confined to a weekly pinned thread – replace any of the daily off-topic discussion threads. Sellers of merchandise need to be launched into the sun. And anybody who chooses to self-promote needs to engage with the users offering feedback, including constructive criticism – not just drop links and disappear.

    2. GDTs: There should be 2. One for football discussion, Xs and Os, play-calling, etc. – and one for general banter, memes, playing victim, and so on.

  2. I rarely have issues with how the sports subreddits are monitored. (Except r/fantasyfootball whose mods are awful).

Usually it’s the big subreddits that you see mod over reach of power. Just a conspiracy but I definitely think Gavin Newsome is paying mods to silence negative sentiment about him.

Keep doing the good work, I have zero issue with the Broncos sub and this is example of why.

  3. Can we start banning people who create posts that belong in the GDT? Your comment related to the game doesn’t require its own post while the game is being played. Keep it in the GDT
