  1. As a Slovak you could clearly see how hard he was trying when he plays for the pride of his country. And big shoutout to the Slovakian team in general no huge mistakes that caused goals high intensity high effort by every single player . They played with passion and heart that’s what I like to see.

  2. Ahojte, from Slovakia,
As soon as I saw Slafs goal, I knew, there will be video about it by Habs Digest. Then another one and assist (unfortunately bcs of no stick). Habs were on fire for sure

  3. Slafzilla was an absolute beast! I got to watch it and it was a great game! Now for tomorrows game! LET'S GOOOO!!!!
Y ! Slaf is already better than Hossa was!

  4. That play at the end with no stick absolutely broke my brain. I stood there, mouth gaping wide, hands on each side of my head for like 20 seconds, then had the same reaction again when i rewinded and rewatched it 😂
What a beast. He protected the puck from 3 NHL players including Mikko Rantanen… WITH NO STICK. Let that sink in

  5. The way its going, 4 habs players will be in nomination for a individual award . Suzuki for the Selke, Caufield for the Rocket, hutson for the Norris and Demidov (maybe also Kapanen) for the Calder. Demidov should win the calder but Suzuki have good chance to win, Hutson also is not far from the top. Even if i hope and wish Caufield the trophy, he's 8 goal behind MacKinnon… scoring 9 goals more than him in the remaining part of the season seems unlikely. And there is other good goal scorer that can end the season strong.
Nonetheless, the future looks bright for the team and they will put a hell of a show!

  6. Suzuki will be a true team guy and contribute to the best of his abilities to help Canada bring home gold . These guys are first-class guys who know this tournament is bigger than them as individuals.

  7. Merci beaucoup, les amis. Thank you, thank you for the review guys. It really means a lot to us – habs fans from Slovakia.
You would be surprised how many hatters Slaf has in here just because he was talented and media wrote about him a lot since numbers of our guys declined in the NHL. And the excessive amount of news annoyed a lot of people. And also the no. 1 pick drama that was the same in MTL. So It feels extra sweet rn, Im very happy for him. Hlavaj did a great job, but for me Slaf was the first star of the match, because when other players dumped the puck he held it and showed dominance and no fear. Whole team played good, but he was the leader. I wish strong health for him and a long and successful career in MTL for him.

  8. Big thanks for your support guys, it means a lot to hear you cheer for not just Juraj but for the whole team Slovakia. At least for me it goes vice versa, I love the Canadiens team and I am sure that Montreal will see more than 1 SC in the next few years. Regarding your question, I'm not sure whether Juraj will be better than Hossa, but can he – absolutely yes, he has potential to be so much better in terms of both individual skill and team leadership qualities. Cheers from Košice!

  9. Remember Slaf 4 years ago, we would be like shoot the puck… Reminds me of Demidov now, justr shoot the puck. The guy has a shot and can score, and he is now. Takes times.

  10. ahoooj, were here, big W for slovakia, love all the habs fans, looking forward to more olympics hockey
edit.. just wanna say you two are absolute nutters when it comes to habs.. i love the passion, hopefully suzuki does well. and yes, i think slaf when everything is done and said can join hossa in hof

  11. Ahoj ALL,
Obviously happy for us, but this game.. It just show how well Slaf developed under MTL supervision.
Each of his points was totaly different representation of every skillset he has.
Anybody noticed how crazy instant chemistry he has with Nemec back together?

Hlavaj's exhibition was just cherry on top.

As I love Craig Ramsay and what he did for Slovakian hockey, I like free air that Vladimir Orszagh brought.

  12. Cooper was talking today about how he sees Suzuki feeding MacKinnon passes, like he does Caufield. Cooper will play around with lines, including in practice and even in the three group games. You don't know what you got until you try it. And, some of it all, including the talk, will be to keep opposing coaches thinking.

  13. Doing some justice to your slovak again Josh! Hlavaj must be pretty tough to pronounce, but it`s spot on! Hossa was Slaf`s idol, during his Chicago era. Getting to that level would be insane… HoF, 3 cups, jersey retirement… We all hope that Slaf can get close to that and be a part of a new Cup dynasty in Montreal, and win a couple more medals 🙂
