[Matt Zenitz] Oklahoma’s DeMarco Murray has emerged as one of the coaches of interest to the Kansas City #Chiefs for their running backs coach opening, sources tell @CBSSports. The former NFL star running back has been Oklahoma’s running backs coach the last six seasons.

Somebody qualified and has played the position? Check and check. Fine with me.
Don’t hate this idea.
Well since Duce is off the market I’m all for it
Hasn’t developed a good rb
Oklahoma fans despise him but you can’t really judge a position coach too much on fan perception.
I like it, dude had an underrated nfl career
I’m getting old. Thought he might’ve still been on a roster and was confused for a second lol
“Dry cleaning” would be a great fit
I’m into it.
Hide the wifes
As long as it isn’t a former wide receiver, I’m good with it
This is a tough one. He hasn’t developed any consistent talent during his time at OU, a lot of people want him gone. But I do NOT want him to leave for my NFL team. It’s kind of a monkey paw curling situation
Have not heard that name in a coon’s age…. he was amazing back in the day
EB started out as an RB coach. OK RB quality output aside, I like that this is how Andy + EB think and EB being here gives me a little more confidence in the assessment. Super interesting.

Oh so that’s where he’s been. Yea I’d be fine with this
Nooooo he is not good at that job lmao, this is so out of left field. As an OU fan I cannot wait to get rid of him, and I love him!
I don’t know much about hiring position coaches, but my layman brain likes this. Demarco was a great back in his short prime, but one thing about his running style that I think would translate well to being a coach is that he was largely a one-cut back. One-cut backs are far more reliant on their vision and the scheme than say a Barry Sanders-type who was just so much more athletic than everybody else that he could use his immense physical gifts to do things most could never dream of. I think the former style lends itself better to becoming a coach for somewhat obvious reasons.
Note that I’m not saying Barry didn’t have great vision. You don’t become the goat without great vision. But you get what I’m saying hopefully.
If this guy is being considered as the positional coach they must not have a lot of interest in the role. Hard to prove you’re a good RB under the HC who runs the ball the least.
NOICE
Works for me
Man I loved him as a cowboy
Smh. Between this and them not firing Heck and hiring stoutland I’m getting really concerned.
Fuck this dude is terrible rb coach any Oklahoma fan will tell you that
So let me get this straight.
OU fans hate him
He hasn’t helped produce any real talent
Been in the same role for 6 years
