ESPN Sends POWERFUL Message To The Rams After Super Bowl 60
LA Rams news and Rams rumors on head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead’s offseason plans for the Los Angeles Rams. ESPN put out their way-too-early 2026 NFL power rankings and ranked the Rams 3rd, behind the Super Bowl LX winning Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. ESPN also listed what they believe to be the biggest roster need for the Rams to address in 2026, with that being fixing special teams. Sean McVay made some moves to address the issue this year, with the Rams hiring Bubba Ventrone as special teams coordinator, but more work must be done on the Rams depth chart. In today’s LA Rams video host Jackson Durham breaks down the 3 biggest questions facing new special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone.

LA Rams biggest questions on special teams
Who takes over return duties?
Is Harrison Mevis the guy?
Should we keep Ethan Evans?
ESPN’s Sarah Barshop on what the Rams biggest issue is:
The Rams’ special teams unit played a major part in four losses. In their playoff loss to Seattle, wide receiver Xavier Smith muffed two punts, including one the Seahawks recovered before scoring a touchdown on the next play. Coach Sean McVay tried to fix the issues at midseason when he moved on from kicker Joshua Karty and long-snapper Alex Ward. He later fired special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn after Los Angeles’ Week 16 loss to the Seahawks. The first step was hiring new special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone.

Want Makai Lemon to the Rams? Like today's video!
I’d keep Mevis and Evans. We need a Longsnapper if Mcquaide leaves because Alex Ward was terrible. I really love lemon but if we don’t take him I’m taking Mansour Delane and then either trading that pick 29 for Trent Mcduffie or drafting Colton hood if not him maybe trade down to get some picks in the second round and take Jacob Rodriguez but we have to wait till Free Agency to see what the rams really need.
Lemon could very well go inside the top 10 as he is probably the best receiver in this draft, just a little undersized. I think Shaheed perfectly fits that 3rd receiver that can stretch the field, as well as being the best punt/kick returner in the game. It makes too much sense, especially since his price will not cost too much. McCoy or Delane at 13 and a possible trade back from 29 to pick up a pick and grab Thieneman.
I would love to use the 13th pick to get lemon like you said not only would we have a solid 3rd option but he can return punts and actually go over 30 yards a punt return 😅 definitely need to get a solid CB but maybe use our other 1st pick for CB. Please re sign the thicker kicker.
Use 1st pick for USC WR Lemon. 2nd pick for a corner,
Who gives a shit rank the rams last weall now there winning it all next year
ESPN is woke and not worth watching.
yes on question 1. Yes on question 2, but bring in some competition. On question 3, get rid of Evans.
Everyone but the idiot from espn knows the top 2 teams were the Rams and Hawks and that the real SB was played in the NFC Championship game. I’m not shocked due to the east coast bias that they had to kick us down and it’s a bit surprising it’s only 1 east coast team ahead of us. Lemon would definitely be a great pick and we can take a corner with the 29th pick, a trade, or sign a FA but we definitely need to do something about that defensive backfield because it cost us a SB.
Using a first round pick on the third wr ain't it
Mevis was one of the main reasons the Rams missed the one seed. He missed a 44 yard FG to beat Seattle. Probably no better options available. Mevis still will make me nervous.
Absolutely 💯 Rams 🐏 played the Seahawks 3X …
Those opposed, need to check those games out.
Only special teams I think we need is a returner tbh mevis and Evans are pretty damn good. New coach, draft someone capable of returning in day 2 after fixing the secondary. Rams are great at finding great gem receivers outside of round 1 so I don't see a need to spend 13 on a receiver
Get Lemon 🍋 💪😤👍🐏✔️
Gotta ride with Mevis … HE WAS SOLID.
Fix the secondary and get a deep threat for Stafford. Atwell was a joke. We need the deep threat receiver to have height as well. What was TuTu, something like 5’ 3”? 😂
Lemon isnt big enough or fast enough. If hes not a matchup nightmare he isnt worth it. The Rams need an absolute, positive matchup nightmare stud. At any position. Outside of Stafford and Puka they have zero impact, scary, keep the other team up at night type players. Seattle has 6:45 5 guys like that. McVays scheming has to stop covering up a lack of raw talent. It needs to be the difference. Think Jerry Rice and Bill Walsh. This is needed even more on the defense. Theyre ordinary players who are schemed up.
Keep Evens he a dawg
Dump Tutu Atwell and his high chair
We should’ve drafted CREED HUMPHREY
Cornerback, Cornerback, Cornerback,
If Mansoor Delane or Jermod McCoy are there at #13, we have to draft one. If not there, Lemon. ✌🏼
That’s a lot of cabbage for a punter. I’d like to bring him back, but on a different deal.
They can stop the Maye should mvp nonsense also.
That's Reliable!!!!
Get WR Lemon at 13 and CB Hood at 29 it’s a no brainer and the Rams hired the Tennessee DB coach seems like a match made in heaven 😎
Dummies
Drop #13 pick down and get a 2027 1st rd pick from a declining team (that doesn't know that they are declining) and their 2nd rd pick for 2026.
As a Seahawks fan I also thought the Rams being rated at #3 was disrespectful and delusional.
Sorry dude it's not DISRESPECTFUL, the Rams haven't PROVE ANYTHING but that they CAN F-ING self destructed at any F-ING minute. You want respect go F-ING EARN IT.
I hope the schedule next season has the Patriots playing the Rams.
I DONT want my #3 receiver returning kicks!!!
I’ve been saying this for WEEKS
Absolutely fix special teams and make their Defense stronger 😊
So let me get this straight, in the second half of the season and the playoffs, our defense couldn't stop anyone, and you guys still think that we should draft a WR with the 13th pick? Why? So, we can have the same issue we had last season on defense? No, draft the best available CB at #13, sign a WR and CB in free agency, and then draft a WR at #29. This move fills out our WR room. Next, draft RT, OLB, LB, CB (yes, I would double dip), S, and punter in rounds 6 or 7.
Definitely keep Ethan. You're trippin on this one lol
Evans sucks
Lemon is smaller than McVay likes and while not being slow, is not close to being a burner. I think Snead will pass.
