Pickens will be hit with the franchise tag, as fans lament the reported lack of communication between the two camps. Pickens requests a trade as the public spectacle intensifies. That’s when the Broncos swoop in and give the Cowboys a second-round pick for the wideout, then sign Pickens to a multi-year extension that pays him an average of $31 million per year.”

  12. Pickens cannot be traded, he's not under contract. Cowboys would have to re-sign him THEN trade him. Which would make no sense salary cap wise.
    Simply placing the tag on him doesn't mean he can be traded. Pickens would have to sign the tag contract.
    He has tons of talent but checks out. Can that be corrected?

  27. 31m and a 2nd on a wr? Na man. Move up in the first with that 2nd round pick and draft a wr and then take that 31m and get a couple studs that are a positive addition in the locker room.

  31. Still concerned about the locker room concerns. If Mike Tomlin couldn't keep him on check then I doubt Sean Payton could. Yes, George behaved last year but because he knew he was in a contract year plus he was in a pass friendly offense. The Broncos aren't that. It's not in the Broncos interest to bring in WRs like AJ Brown or George Pickens who's attitudes change when they aren't getting 10 plus passes per game.
