2. The best thing about all this? It's literally at the very beginning of the year. Hell, they haven't even started playing exhibition games yet! I will say this though, the Santander signing is pretty much a bust so i'm not too fussed about him being injured. Bieber's arm being fatigued is a little troubling but he's still going through the long process of overcoming TJ surgery.

   I think the Jays will be fine but it's good that they have the needed depth to overcome some of this right now.

3. Jays fan. They will not make it again, the way this roster still almost the same. It will not be enough to get there again. They got their chances and they fumble it in the WS and offseason!

4. Samson Esq. MD. Yeah, that player option continues to be one of the weirdest things in MLB.

5. I think part of why Bieber opted in was because he genuinely liked his short time in Toronto last year. He's talked about it being some of the most fun he's ever had in his career. He's also has a 1 year old kid, so moving up to Canada was probably a tough process that he isn't in a hurry to go through again. You might be right about him being overpaid, but wouldn't some team have offered him at least similar money in free agency this year?

6. Bieber grabbed his option because of injury. That was not a secret. Santander….if people were expecting a bounce back they are head in the clouds. Francis is the Josh Towers of the modern era One whooptie doo season. There is a reason they went pitcher hunting and chased Tucker.

9. They have Lauer who will replace Biebs. He's fantastic.
   Tony injured means Lucas can get full playing time in left field.

10. Bieber played Canada lol. They thought he stayed because he loves them, nope, he just knew he couldn’t pass a physical for a new contract and would’ve made nothing in 2026.
