Not saying it's likely, or probable, but it should happen if the Titans are willing to move him
Young, great run defender, decent pass rusher, bare minimum a good pocket pusher. Can play full time, logged 700 snaps in 2024, no substantial injury history.
If the reports that the Titans are willing to trade him due to a poor scheme fit with Salehs defense, it probably wouldn't take too much, we should go after him. We know the Bengals wanted him in the 2nd in 2024, if he had gotten to us we probably would have taken him.
A 2nd, and Jackson, maybe a 3rd and BJ Hill or TJ Slaton or a 2nd with Hill or Slaton. Plus I don't think this stops you from drafting a DT like Woods, Woods is a good pass rusher, and is a plus run defender.
Adding those 2 would already make our D-Line significantly better, I'm hesitant to say top 15, but I feel like it would be a real possibility. Plus a free agent signing like Boye Mafe, or Odafe Oweh in free agency, and the continued development of Murphy. This could be a legit good d-line. Add in a safety like Dillon Thieneman or Genesis Smith and this could be a really solid defense going into next year
Knowing the Bengals they probably wouldn't do it, but they should. This would be an instant upgrade to the defense. If they really want to spend, and work to make this defense good again, this should 1000% be on the teams radar.

Highly doubt a guy going into his third year on a rookie contract is traded.
Bears are apparently interested as well.
DJ Reader isn’t what he used to be but for the price, it would be hard for me to turn the offer down.
They need all the help they can get on defense regardless.

24 years old is the only number I care about. Reader is simply too old at this point
He’s showing up in trade rumors at least. He’s more realistic than Simmons but for someone young, it’l be pricey. Can he get to the QB? He seems more like a NT which would make Slaton irrelevant.

DJ isn’t 2021 form….but, he was an awesome run stopper and was a huge part of the 21 run we had!
If he becomes available everyone would be in with better packages. Why would Titans trade with us
I was hoping we’d draft him in the 2nd but he went way earlier than I expected. Kris Jenkins has been more disappointing but we’ll see
Khyris Tonga is coming up in FA too, and can play the role TJ was supposed to play.
