Based AF honestly, it just pisses me off and it’s not like anyone goes onto Reddit to have their mind changed about a divisive topic
Also, I’d add any NBA themed podcast that shoves gambling sponsorships
A lot of Utah Jazz is bad for ruining the integrity of the league discussions, and then 30 seconds later, a gambling ad is read out.
Now maybe I can let it slide if they say “The Jazz, Grizzlies, Nets, Wizards, Pacers manipulate lineups to tank”, but all these conversations are saying it’s the Jazz, and only the Jazz who are evil by ruining the integrity of the league.
My conspiracy theory is that the gambling companies are having the NBA Podcasters talk bad about the Jazz, so Silver will do something about it
That whole subreddit has genuinely twisted themselves into believing that some teams should make decisions that actively harm the future of their franchise, all while being fans of teams who, without a doubt, have done their fair share of tanking in order to get to where they are today.
Maybe the problem isn’t small market teams doing what they can to control their future, and maybe end up with a good roster at some point, but the system that forces them to tank in order to have a chance at putting together a team composed of anything other than overpaid free agents, and rejects from big market teams who just fall ass backwards into talent because they get 8 months of sunshine a year.
