2. I have a personal bias in picking Love due to his supposed informal ASD diagnosis, though every argument for Bain has merit. That being said the big takeaway I think we can all unite on regardless of our camps is “MAKE 👏🏻THE 👏🏻PICK 👏🏻 COUNT 👏🏻!! A chance for a generational talent with this high a pick cannot be passed up on and we cannot whiff on it

Honestly i agree bain would prolly be my pick at #9 but at the same time noone was afraid of our run game this past year so if love is available that could fix that problem we need to bring back the run game in a big way to open up more options. I think if we can get hall or walker at a good price i would do that. we could go get bain or david bailey at #9 but i also think sadiq would be a awesome pick, a good TE to work with kelce his last year because we are gonna need a replacement that mahomes can rely on the way he does kelce. But honestly if someone like lemon or tate is available it would be crazy not to get them maybe we could trade up a bit cuz theres just so much that needs addressed.

16. The sad truth is even if there is a “game changing” RB at #9 he’s probably only going to be that game changer on the first contract, so you only get him for five years. A dominant IDL, Edge , WR, or DB will be dominant for 7-10 years! The value is in taking a player that can help a team win and also get them into a second contract.

    There are plenty of good RB’s to be had in the 3rd to 5th rounds, like the RB’s from Arkansas, Nebraska, ND, Penn State, etc.

19. Love. The RB room can be solved with one person who I believe can go bar for bar with the best in the league. The DL room can be patched together if you have some guys get healthy and improve. The depth of EDGE in this class is being ignored here, plenty of producers to pick from. Can’t say the same for RB

28. Looking at the cap space now in february doesn't make any sense. Yes, the chargers haev 90 millions of cap space. But they can't free any add. money.
    The chiefs have minus 60 millions but can easily go up to plus 60 millions or more. The actual numbers are not comparable.

30. I hope we go for someone in the defense. Even if Love is the best available player, I think that we have bigger needs in the defense. Besides that, running back isn't a premium position. To pay top of the market RB money to a rookie due to the position he gets drafted is just insane in my opinion.

32. How many long, painful, sluggish drives did we have that managed to get to the red zone and only to stall, end up only 3 points, a turnover on downs, or even an interception? With Love, I think we'd instantly move about 80% of those drives into the TD column instead. We've had way worse defenses than last year, but the difference was, we used to score points, too. The past two years, we just paced the other teams' scoring and in 2024 pulled it out at the wire, and in 2025 failed at the wire. Why? Because we had the most predictable offense in football (and too often tried to throw on 3rd or 4th and 1 when Kareem Hunt was RIGHT THERE). Love completely changes our offensive dynamic and the playcalling possibilities. Defenses will be on their heels not knowing if it's run, pass, screen, etc. We'll be scary. I honestly believe Love could be a household name like the running backs of the old days. Yes, Bain would be a very nice upgrade, but he alone is not going to completely change the identity and trajectory of the team the way a top 10 player should. Yes, we'll turn our defense up a click or two… but meanwhile our offense will have yet another year of painful-to-watch mediocrity. Mahomes will have to try to be a hero, get back in harm's way, and continue turning the ball over trying to force things when we hit the red zone wall. Stopping the other team is great, but if you don't turn that stop into points, then you just tire out your defense. This is the last time I think we'll be drafting top ten for a long, long time, so why not make a splash with it and get a guy who's going to single-handedly score over 100 points for you (in my estimation)? If the Chiefs can get one of those tier 1 RBs in free agency, great, I'd roll with Bain and feel better. But I honestly don't see any of those guys ending up in KC… Breece will get tagged and Etienne will get overpaid by someone with tons of cap space. There's no way Seattle will let go of Kenneth Walker after what he proved this season (and he's the only one that I think has the talent to give our offense an entirely new vibe the way Love would). But to be honest, I also feel it's kind of irrelevant because Love will be gone to New Orleans at pick 8. Nonetheless, I believe a lot of the people gun shy about Love are still stuck on what happened with CEH. But there is absolutely no comparison. When they picked CEH, I was dumbfounded and not confident in the pick. I watched his tape and was confused why we'd use that pick on him. I thought he looked like a 3rd or 4th rounder, but I trusted the guys in the head office to know something I didn't see. And analysts were also taken aback by the pick. Well, no one has any question marks around Love. He will instantly make any team that lands him dramatically and undeniably better. And that's what a top ten pick is supposed to do.

36. The thing with EB is, nothing big will change. None of the plays, none of the schemes.
    But everything will be 1-2 inches crisper, 1-2 steps more correct. Even Mahomes' footwork.
    That's maybe 4-5 plays a game.
    And that's the difference between a league average offense and a top 3 offense.

37. Think about it this way. On offense we have the leagues blue chip player lol the literal best player in the league. On defense when Chris Jones officially hangs it up who is the anchor of our defense? Yes when Trent is extended he will be the anchor of our secondary but history has proven defenses need more than just 1 guy. Kam Chancellor and Bobby Wagner in Seattle, Ed Reed and Ray Lewis in Baltimore. You need at least 2 dominate guys in order to have an all time elite defense for a long time. So that’s why for as fun a love would be on this team I don’t think he makes sense for us at 9 there’s simply too many other long term needs and our running back room this year proved that ANYONE would be an upgrade. I think the focus should be on getting that pass rusher of the future with 9

Without a de line,and a left tackle,running game won't help,Jones cannot play DE he's to slow,we need speed on the outside de line,we rush 4 and there is completely NO pressure, example ,,game 1 ,,Jones on the outside on de line not only did he take a inside rush he doesn't belong there at all,,pennel,Nandi, danna,and Charles must go clear cap and get that line filled with speed ,so a 4 man rush can at least get some pressure, then LT,,then RB ,thank God Nagy is gone,and Andy needs to give the enemy some rope,and hopefully we can keep pat upright and get the ball down field

39. Cut Taylor, Danna, Tranquill. Restructure Mahomes, Jones. Sign Jaelan Phillips, Dre’Mont Jones, Travis Etienne. Take Bain because Love will be drafted by New Orleans. Take Love if he slips to 9 and then load up on dline in later rounds.
