  1. First, we already knew Ben had his immaturity, especially in his younger years this isn't new. So Porter isn't breaking ground here.

Second Ben's comments about Tomlin were awfully tame. All he said was that maybe it was time for Tomlin to move on and that he thought he'd be good for the Penn State job. It wasn't that big of a deal. Harrison's comments on the other hand were very inflammatory. He straight up said Tomlin was a bad coach.

So I don't understand Porter lashing out a Ben, especially since Ben made his comment awhile ago. It's weird.

  2. Porter's comments on Ben seem to come from somewhere deeper and more personal than his other murmurings. And considering what's alleged about Ben outside of football I'm not surprised. The Brotherhood Code only goes so far.

  3. Families will hold onto things, but eventually the one straw breaks and all heck breaks lose. This is how amends begin to be made.
What follows is a bond is formed between family members stronger than before. So, speak up now in this dead air space and get things under control before the start of camp. Thanks, DK!

  4. Ben doesn’t need to address anything. I mean what would any of these cats have accomplished without him? Absolutely nothing, tomlin included. Because peezy was a model citizen right?Dude is cowardly by kissing bens ass at the hall of honor deal but talking junk on cams horrible podcast. And i mean Mason Rudolph and Kendrick green? Are we serious with these jokers🤣

  5. I think Porter is wrong for this, he's making it more messy than anybody by saying all this mess. Ben barely said anything about Tomlin, Debbo is the one who really went ham on Tomlin. I get what Porter saying and that is shitty of Ben, not terribly surprising given Ben would call teammates out on his radio show somtimes and be being full of himself a lot etc. Ben was a asshole somtimes but at the end of the day if that's seriously what they mad about that's ridiculous. Steelers still only have 4 SBs if Ben was never QB

  6. Remember when JP was so unprofessional he got ejected before the game and got replaced by one of the greatest Steeler LBs of all time James Harrison. Then got shipped to Miami. Good times. 👍

JP isn't helping the "cult of tomlin" vibes. Like you can't say ANYTHING about coach ever. JP probly hate watched this channel last year screaming they shouldn't be using the middle!

  7. Ben was (and still is) an arrogant, passive-aggressive child. Great player. Awful human being. Thank you Peezy. This dude should definitely NOT be a first ballot HOFer – so said this grandfather of 4 girls. And to all of you who have a love-affair with Ben… spare me. My heart bleeds black and gold (since the 70's).

  8. I wont deny I lost a little respect for Mason here. Not because he's necessarily wrong, or that I dont think he has a right to express himself. I just wish he had stayed above the fray. Still love the guy and appreciate him salvaging what was the most hopeless-feeling season I think I can ever remember. Just would have preferred a different decision here.

  9. You know i will say i can forgive Ben for all of that especially since most of it was him being younger and dumb but. But the one thing i hated that Ben did was the way he treated Mason, i still don't think Mason has ever gotten a real shot with this team because of the seeds of doubt Ben laid. I get Ben was threatened and mad about the Steelers drafting Mason but that was such a shitty way to go about it. Hell even Rodgers and Love have a great relationship with each other and that was the same exact thing.

  10. I remember Ramon telling stories to you and to others Steelers, like when he had on Big Al # 78!, about the botherhood of the Oline and how Mason was one of them. About thier bond, brotherhood, Never once did a story once mention Ben as being part of it. Strickly as a fan, without knowing a perspective other than what i see from my screen, i share the opinion on Ben that Joey had. Ben was MY QB! Loved everytime he came out on the field, but didnt care much for the person he came across as.

  11. Ben definitely had a bad few years as a person and I imagine as a teammate.

During Joey's playing years the Steelers had a traveling basketball team in the off season. The traveling team once came to our local high school to play a charity game against the faculty. After the game the Steelers players had a meet and greet with the fans. I watched Joey Porter Sr slowly back away from the other Steelers and hide behind the bleachers so he would not have to interact with the fans.
At the time I thought that was odd but it is up to him if he wanted to talk to the fans. We are not looking for hostages, right.
Joey talking about Ben not signing autographs made me think about this experience.

  12. Morning DK!! So I heard Porters rant. I’m sure there is legit substance to it, but the one guy who certainly has reason to vent is Rudolph. In a perfect world the QB room should be a tight one with all of them working to make each other better and to share knowledge. I don’t think Ben, as good a player as he was, ever did that and that is all on him. On top of that Tomlin never seemed to be very supportive of Mason. So I’m hoping with Tomlin gone this QB room coming up will be as I described and that they all get a fair shake. Injuries happen so the guys behind the starter better be prepared and as knowledgeable as the guy who starts and that they get the support they deserve.

  13. I don’t really care about the morality of the factory’s where my products are produced I care about the product and winning which is why i have distanced myself from the Steelers 🤷🏿

  14. Two thoughts: one, Ben didn't say anything actually that negative – especially compared to Deebo. Peazy just wants attention and went for low hanging fruit. Another is this – Cameron Heyward knew exactly what he was doing and wanted this to happen.

  15. I totally agree with you @DKPS_Steelers about AR8 mate. He turned out to be a good pick up FOR 1 SEASON. It’s time to move onwards and upwards, whoever that may be at QB1, but have we turned into a geriatric facility for busted up and burned out, for the most part anyway???? We’ve seen next to zero of young WH18, why oh why do teams do this to themselves repeatedly? Your game of NFL has become TOO big. $60m a year for the QB? And every other position on the field. Because EVERY PLAYER ON THAT FIELD IS A MILLIONAIRE! Can you even begin to imagine the pressure that comes with that? I’m from Melbourne Australia Dan, I’m in love with the Steelers and our rich history but the $ these YOUNG guys are making, no wonder they strut about like friggin peacocks. Our top players in our Aussie rules are just hitting $2m a season and have you watched our game? 😂
Pittsburgh Steelers 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛 and Collingwood Magpies 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍 for life.
    Kind regards,

PS: LOVE THE SHOWS, CHRIS etc 👍🏻

  16. as loath as I am to feel like I have to comment on everything out there, from everything I have seen from Ben over the last several years, he has done everything he can to be a good Godly family man, as a christian, I beleive God has forgiven my sins someone else's past sins are NOMFB.

  17. You can tell, Peezy has been wanting to say something about Ben for years. 😂 Ben didn't really say anything that bad about Tomlin but let's not pretend he didn't throw him under the bus every chance he got over the years. I'm sure Tomlin and Joey had discussions about Ben being Ben

  18. Big shout out to Peasy, letting us know how it really was.
Debo was mad at Tomlin for Tomline , not having his back .
TJ came, and you were gone. Sorry Debo😢

Big Ben can't discuss and shouldn't discuss any steeler business because he was foul in the locker room. Tomlin drafted Mason, Ben acted an ass in the locker room, and after that, there hadn't been a quarterback taken until Ben was out the door.

He's the reason to this day we are in quarterback purgatory.

Please don't sugarcoat anything for Ben!!!

  19. Man I had a lot of respect for Joey, but this was a dumb low blow , dude has a good list of dumb stuff he did as a player as a coach, getting shot and this clown is talking about other people's problems. Shame on Cam for allowing it on his show to . I highly respect you Dk for avoiding this kinda crap media .

  20. I don’t have a hard time believing Ben wasn’t the best teammate, but I’m just more confused about what the catalyst for all this was. Is there video of Ben completely trashing Tomlin somewhere or something?? I watched his podcast after Tomlin resigned, he said nothing even in the realm of what Deebo said (which was that tomlin wasn’t a *great* coach by the way, not that he wasn’t good at all like joey said he did.) Is saying anything like “it was probably time for Tomlin to step down” akin to a personal attack on the guy? Are fans “entitled” for wanting better than no playoff wins in 10 years?

  21. Joey Porter wasnt wrong here…Ben wasnt a good guy or teammate he threw a lot of teammates under the bus. Ben is very passive aggressive that irks me about him…idk why ppl are shocked by this a lot this stuff was very well known
