Such a class act. I’m sorry to see him go but hope he does well.
I have nothing but love for Chris Bassitt… He was a fantastic addition to the Jays roster and he came in clutch during some key moments in the playoffs last year.
He was/is definitely good people. Was such a great team player , especially in the playoff run last year.
He left it all out on the field…this got Kevin Pillar vibes. Guess we will see him in the booth in a few years on Jays broadcast haha.
Then he betrays us and goes to a division rival.
Et Tu, Brute?
In all seriousness, he was super solid for us and I’m glad he seemed to genuinely enjoy his time here like so many of the other guys on the team the last couple of years.

All respect for the Hound
So sad to see him go! He’s a real class act❤️
Absolute dawg
Chris, if you read this: We love you, and miss you.
We say our brokenhearted farewell as we’ve nothing but found memories of our shared time together. Trust us when we say we hope you find happiness in your new home.
Go get it hound dog.
I’m more broken up about him than Bo. 🙁
Class act family all the way through.
I hope the O’s give him the start when they come to Toronto so he can get the standing ovation he deserves
I am truly saddened that we will not get to see Chris Bassitt hoist the World Series trophy with the demeanour of a man trying to rearrange the overhead bin so that someone else can fit what they are claiming is a ‘personal item’ in there also.
He’s going to get a standing ovation when he returns.
Does that mean his son can pitch for Canada in the 2047 World Baseball Classic?
Love this guy, will be forever missed
who knows if CBass reads reddit, but if so, thanks man, loved having you and your fam here. I’ll always cheer for you guys.
I am so sad we couldn’t win with him.

I kind of hate that he’s not coming back. I’ll miss ya Chris
For me, this one hurt more than Bo or any other Jay leaving that I can think of.
Chris, thank you for everything.
Just throw some meatballs down the middle when you pitch against the Jays okay?
Remember when right at the start maybe before his first time on the mound for us that his wife and him announced they’d donate $10k to Jays Care for every win he collected that season? He had a bit of a rocky start but that gesture always made me think he was a stand up guy, if nothing else. Then he came into his own and was THE dog on the mound. He’s always come off so well in his media interactions too. Big big big love. We’re lucky to have had him.

Go kick some ass, C-Bass
…except ours.
I love C-Bass and so sad to see him leave the Jays! I wish him well (but not when he pitches to us lol)
We’ll see you in July when the O’s are in sell mode and willing to pay half of your remaining salary for Clase
Gonna miss the hound on the mound. Pitched a ton of innings for us and was amazing out of the pen in the playoffs. We don’t beat Seattle without that strikeout to Suarez. I’ll remember those curveballs forever.
Stay classy CBass. May the only eggs you lay this year be against the Jays.
