Vacchiano’s Coaching Hot Seat Rankings (Bowles at #3)

  1. The list overall is kinda dumb (Canales at #4 when the Panthers seem to be on the uptick is a little wild for instance), but shared because this is the first I’ve personally seen of the media actually talking about Bowles being on the hot seat.

  2. This list might be the worst thing I have ever seen. It gets worse the more you look at it, I mean Vacchiano literally could have had ChatGPT generate a better list.

  3. He shouldn’t be, I think most people familiar with his relationship with the owners know they wont let him go anytime soon

  4. 1. Reasonable
    2. Outlandish
    3. Reasonable
    4. Outlandish
    5. Reasonable
    6. Outlandish
    7. Outlandish
    8. Reasonable
    9. Outlandish
    10. Reasonable

This list is 50% dumb as fuck and 50% not saying anything new.

  5. While the rankings on this list are suspect, most of the people on it really are not. “The hot seat” is looking at what would happen if these teams had worse or even equivalent seasons to the past one next year, and with exception of Steichen, that likely would spell the end of most of these guys.

  6. The only one who should be above Bowles is Glenn and even then there’s an argument to be made that he should get at least one “It’s the Jets” pass. No idea why Sirianni is at 2? Won a SB then had a sloppy but winning season. I get that he’s been inconsistent but come on.

  7. Bowles should have been fired. The fact that he was not set the team back another year.

However, this list is complete ass.

  8. Didn’t Matt get an extension? How is Sirani over Bowles. Pretty incorrect. Bowles is definitely 3 but then Zac should be number 1 as they have Burrow and then Jets.

  9. I think I’m the only one who thinks Glenn being on the hot seats is just the Jets doing Jets stuff.

You hired the guy to do a full rebuild after you blew up the coaching staff and locker room the year before. You gave him a lot of leeway in getting rid of high end personnel for picks and you’re going to fire him halfway through the process?

It’s like hiring someone to build you a house from scratch and then firing them halfway through the estimated time frame you agreed to because it wasn’t a complete house yet. You’re gonna be stuck with half a house and then hire another contractor who’s gonna tear that down and build his own from the ground up so you’re back to square one with nothing to show for the last 3 years.
