    Worst RF defender in league coupled with 90 wRC+ last season.  Guy is beyond cooked.

    And who would you kick from 26 man for him?  Perez?  Replace a young player who can play all 3 outfield spots and hit 103 wRC+ last season?  Carp???

  16. He’s fallen off pretty hard so I just don’t think he makes sense. The bat has been league average or worse the last 4 years and he’s still a terrible defender. I’d rather just roll with Jahmai Jones tbh.

  19. It would depend on him if he sees himself as being in the lineup everday where probably not the team for him he would be a bench player on are roster that plays 1-2 times a week

    That said, he can be had for pretty much nothing. So maybe he’s worth a flier. Don’t really want him though. He just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Just seems like an overall bad player now.

  26. This would have been awesome for us in 2023. Not in 2026. Fans need to stop thinking we have no depth. Jones and Perez are legit young players still improving.

  31. I liked him a lot when he was coming up. His attitude took a hard left turn for me just after the Miggy and the Mudhen’s era and he had this tone like he knew he was better than the team, and to be fair, he was for a while there.

    But seeing him the past couple years has totally soured me to him. Maybe that’s just what Philly does, as I can’t think a single current player in their squad I even remotely like. Maybe Schwarber if I had to pick one.

    But long story short I don’t want him coming back and fucking up what we have going.

  33. Let’s be sensible here, because I’m not having another season of idiocracy. His relevancy on the field is pretty much over. A low budget team will pick him up, and if he performs, they’ll dish him at the deadline for a prospect… Wenceel is 8 years younger and had better all around stats in 2025. Also a switch hitter. He’s a far superior fielder. Castellanos ain’t getting that 34 year old frame over 16mph on a 90° day in July. Think about October. He’s a bum now. Castellanos’ performance is on the decline and he brought a beer into the dugout after getting benched. He tried to big dick em with a .250AVG at the time. All while getting paid $20M a year. If Javy did that, we’d STILL be slaughtering him on here.
