The fact that the Patriots got a walk-on win for the AFC championship is a big part of their easy schedule meme. If the Broncos had made it, at least you couldn’t say that they got to beat a team with no QB to punch their ticket
OP just is coping at this point. The Broncos with Nix would have been a much better opponent against the Seahawks. Would they have won? Who knows, but based on the eye test, the Broncos were a better team. They beat multiple playoff teams during the regular season, whereas the Pats basically beat the Bills twice and that’s pretty much it. And divisional games are always fucky, so it’s not quite the same

As a broncos fan… the best team in the league won this year and the 2nd best lost in the NFC championship.
That said… the patriots beat the broncos with a backup QB 10-7 with 7 of those points coming from a broncos fumble on the 11 yard line. Assuming there is no off season drama or shakeups and our coach and QB make up or are at least able to work well together again, we should be in a better position that the Pats. Say what you will, but nix performs well under pressure (his best game in his career was arguably against the Bills which was also his biggest) and we saw Maye have a historically bad post season for a QB.
Hawks were one the best team all season and the most consistent in all three phases of the game. They would’ve beaten anyone on that stage

Pro football reference has the Broncos tied with the Dolphins for 3rd easiest. Their model includes opponent score differential to account for teams like the Chiefs and Colts that were better when Denver played them without it being skewed by their post-QB injury implosion.
