1. It's funny because Geno had to fight to stay in the league since he was also drafted by the Jets. I however agree that Darnold is a better fit in Seattle.

5. What people don’t understand about that Zach Charbonnet play is that it was no accident. No strike of luck. He was there and he did what he was instructed to do, which is to pick up the ball, even if he believed the play was already over. That’s not luck, it’s great coaching. And a lot of credit goes to Zach too for being so coachable and so attentive

12. I still remember Darnold beating a UW D (with multiple future NFL players) as a true freshman. Darnold was making clutch throws.

14. Sam Darnold also has an immensely better mentality than Geno Smith. In times of adversity, Sam wouldn’t flip off crowds. Team mates stick by Sam because they love him and believe in his abilities. The same cannot be said about Geno

16. Darnold threw for like 4200 yards in 2025, averaging 240 a game. A QB that has those numbers isn't a guy just riding the team. The guy has only played 2 full seasons in offensive teams that fit and is likely to improve.

19. Will never know on the Geno thing but I believe Geno had reached his ceiling in Seattle and also didn't have the same mental outlook as Sam. For once, I agree with Florio on something too, I firmly believe that Geno would have lost to the Rams in the CG if they got there. I could be wrong but I just believe that.

23. What I can't figure out is how few saw this coming. I was so glad when DK and Geno wanted trades and when they got rid of Locket. All had errors that were detrimental to the team and Carroll allowed it while Macdonald didn't. After Mac showed up he took down every trace of Carolls team and thank God he did. Carroll became a stain over time just as Russel Wilson did.

26. I never liked Geno. He always seemed very arrogant and kind of dumb. I'm really glad we got Sam. He's easy to root for and better than Geno. Russ is still my favorite Seahawks QB though.

28. Everybody acting like there wasn’t 6 minutes left in that game when the 2 pt conversion happened.

29. Darnold's numbers were worse than the garbage time Maye numbers, he threw over guys heads many times instead of a jump ball. On some accurate short throws he did risk it, if the ball is in the air a second you have to make a bad throw. Just don't throw the hail Mary jump ball on a throw over 30 yards.

36. Come on… Geno wasn't a leader. The team wouldn't work as hard for him as Darnold. Seahawks don't make the Playoffs with Geno.

37. Geno wouldn’t have taken us as far because of his Kyler Murray attitude. Sam has proven perseverance and resilience has been key to his success – attitude is their biggest difference. Raiders will probably keep him and draft Mendoza, but honestly, I’m glad he’s not our problem. Wish him all the luck tho!
