  1. Boston was a playoff team when they drafted Brown and a team that had went to the ECF the year before they drafted Tatum… For context purpose, you probably should not gloss over that. Remember that came curtesy of the Russian guy who bought the Nets apparently not knowing how to read US birth certificates and trading his future for the ghost of KG and Paul Pierce. Then it came down to development. Golden State had a chance to do the same thing but have not been able to figure out the player development side. Wiseman was the 2nd pick in the draft. Kuminga was the 7th pick.

  2. Blow it up. At this point, it’s time to hit the reset button and go get a true young star through the draft. As much as I respect Bam and Herro, this core isn’t going anywhere. We desperately need a legitimate two-way scorer who can show up and perform consistently every single night. Waiting around for the perfect trade or a big free agency splash hasn’t worked, we’ve been stuck in this same cycle since 2021. Now it feels like we’re annual participants in the Miami–Chicago play-in invitational, just to sneak in and get bounced in the first round. That’s not a real direction. It’s time to stop treading water. What’s even sad is seeing Boston stay consistent since Kyrie arrived and left, to currently, while Miami can’t seem to get it right. Their front office has been steady, and their stars outperform ours by a wide margin, big facts. It might be painful, but if we’re being honest… it’s time to tank and rebuild the right way.

  3. As a Rockets fan, we picked J Green at #2, Jabari Smith at #3, Amen at #4, Reed Sheppard at # 3. Amen has the highest ceiling but he can’t shoot a jumper to save his life. The rest are ehhhh…. Okay I guess? The draft is really a crap shoot

  4. Bam should have been traded after the Finals against the Lakers and Tyler should have been traded last summer. The bargain bin shit doesn’t work anymore. We are years behind the league in terms or front offices lol

  5. All Max Sturs had to do was box out Derrick White & the Celtics would have no recent championships. Mazzulla would have been fired & Brown traded if the Heat win Game 6 after going up 3-0 in the ECF

  6. The argument of “do you really want to go through a few bad seasons…” rings so hollow it’s insane. What do you think we’re going through right now?? Watching this team is pure hell.

Of course, 10/10 I would rather be a young bad team collecting awesome rookies than what we are and I would enjoy watching them WAY more.

Would anyone be mad RIGHT NOW if we were much worse last year but drafted Edgecombe AND Kas…or we got Ware AND Castle the year before? Would you feel better or worse about our future RIGHT NOW? I already know the answer. You would trade your Heat play-in memories for those kinds of players in an instant.

  7. When a NBA Team knows they shall not make the playoff tanking starts.
NFL teams eliminated from the playoff elected to intentionally lose games to get a better draft pick.
The Cardinals, Chiefs, Colts, & Jets lost their final 3-games.
The Commanders, Raiders, & Titans lost two of their final games

  8. Can we stop acting like it wasn't DWade and DWade alone that is responsible for all of Heat's success!? Shaq doesn't come to Miami if it weren't for #3, Bron and Bosh doesn't come if it weren't for #3, Jimmy Butler doesn't come to Miami if #3 doesn't go to Chicago and tells Jim that Miami was the perfect place for him! Of course the FO has to do the maneuvering to facilitate these deals but it was #3. The closest thing we have to that is Bam but the FO keeps shitting on themselves wasting every opportunity to bring someone down to Miami! We need to bring Wade back from Utah asap and let him call the shots because whatever the current construct of the FO is right now isn't getting it done! Simple!!

  9. Jeremy sees all the injuries, the play-in tournament, the missing out on whales – every single year, and he thinks "yeah let's keep doing that" instead of trying something different. Fandom (and other cults) make even smart people turn into pumpkins. Yikes.

  10. 1:27 wht works for other team WILL NOT work for Miami. We play by different rules because the league keeps their thumb on us. We made 2 apmost 3 finals in this decade. I will take this success alllllll day. Pats way is working.

  11. Interesting to watch how Dan let's Mike be an asshole to his own co workers but acts like he cares about people so much. What a fraud and I used to listen to these guys everyday

  12. Great debate covering the differing views among Heat fans. So many are delusional/spoiled and think being in 7 out of the last 20 NBA Finals is not good enough. The ones saying fire Spo are crazy. It's fine to think Riley is over the hill, but he has been one of the best executives in the league over his career. He has always prioritized whale hunting via free agency or trade while deprioritizing draft picks. Some of the spending/FO decisions (Lowry, Rozier) have been backbreakers, but you also have to acknowledge all the good moves (Big 3, JB, drafting Herro and Bam and Ware and JJJ where they did) and player development (Strus, Caleb, Vincent, Duncan, etc.). The FO is stuck between wanting a superstar and either not having enough to get one or not wanting to part with every single asset they have. Don't overpay for KD at the end of his career. Ja Morant is a violent nutcase that virtually no franchise wants (especially at his cost). The trend in the league away from FA and toward trading has made things more difficult for the Heat, who always excelled in FA. I think if Giannis isn't gettable over the summer, it's time to retool– try to move Herro, see what you can get. Powell has been great when healthy but may not be a good fit with our timing and spending. Be willing to move any other individual piece (no one off limits, but no fire sale). But the Heat's assets aren't as strong to other teams' front offices as we all think and hope they are. And Riley isn't going to blow anything up and tank so long as he's in his role– it's not in his DNA.

  13. So let me get this right all of these pendants all of these media people and fans. Say the NBA sucks it’s unwatchable but yet you’re advocating for tanking and FYI tanking has never worked. The team teams that he mentioned none of those teams tanked people don’t understand the concept of tanking if they believe that what all of this makes no sense to me someone make it make sense? Sense.
