Bucs coaching additions

  1. Nepo hiring instead of hiring for skill should make anyone raise their eyebrow.

We want the best coaches, not somebody’s son or nephew

  2. 2 nepo babies, and a promotion from the worst performing part of the coaching staff, great.

  3. Nepotism exists in the NFL more than most other businesses. Owner families, coaches, even referees.

  4. Hopefully this equals out Todd Sr negative impact with Todd Jr positive impact ( I can only dream)

  5. Glazers: “we’ve heard passionate, dumb, but passionate feedback regarding HC Todd Bowles. So we’re happy to announce a SECOND Bowles has joined the staff! Just what the fans wanted!”

  6. Nepo hire when you’re on the hot seat is fucking wild

Todd is either doing this purposefully to say fuck you to the fan base cause he knows he’s fired or he’s just that fucking brain dead

  7. Ah yes, this all makes perfect sense. The assistants who learned everything they know from completely ineffective coaches have all been promoted. It’s pretty clear that there will be exactly 0 new ideas on the defensive side of the ball. And filling the rest of the holes are everyone’s sons and nephews.

But look, we know this type of thing works because it worked great for Pete Carroll and the Raiders last year, so that must be why we didn’t interview anyone new for these roles.

Nothing like learning the game from a 22 year old kid who couldn’t crack the Rutgers lineup and went on to the powerhouse team (checks notes)… The Long Island University Sharks. At least new Bowles put up big numbers there right? 28 tackles! … Career tackles. For the LIU Sharks. Yup, this guy is going to be out there with a whistle, communicating what 30 year old Jamel Dean needs to do to finally, once and for all, learn this defense and be in the right spot!

At least Danny Smith’s nephew has 8 years of coaching experience. For a team that you definitely don’t know how to pronounce. Duquesne finished one game better in the NEC than those aforementioned Sharks.

And for the fans who clamored for the launching of our strength and conditioning coordinator, your fears have been quelled! Rejoice! We have hired a strength and conditioning coordinator from … THE BUCS! You guys won’t believe it, the whole problem was just the guy in front of him. This other guy knows exactly, and I do mean EXACTLY, what that old terrible coach you just needed to launch did wrong.

inspiring stuff here, Todd. Way to go man.

EDIT: I’d like to add that I really hope it works out and fucking Go Bucs. Im excited for these guys to get a chance and I am rooting for them. I just felt like this rant would be comical with the way a lot of us have seen this offseason go. I’ve gotten the chance to meet and work with Coach Bowles and I truly couldn’t be rooting more for the him.

  8. And with that, I have no expectations for this upcoming season so I’m not disappointed smh

  9. We’ve literally replaced every coach this offseason… except the one who should have been fired.

  10. I tried telling everyone the Glazers disnt care about replacing Todd. Never did i for a second dream they liked him so much they would clone him so he can be his own replacement. Did they get this idea from Tom?

  11. Bowles wants a chance to coach with his son and set him up with a starting job for the future because he knows his time is coming to an end… that’s how I read it.

  12. Cool, so we double down and nepo hire on ST & Defense, the two most failing facets of our team. Sounds good

  13. 2 nepo hires and the assistant to the guy who just got fired? Yeah, the Glazers aren’t serious about winning. It’s disappointing.

  14. Relegation can’t come to the NFL soon enough. No way owners let this kind of shenanigans happen if they could be playing in the American Football league with no TV contract after a disaster season.

  15. So the guy assisting and learning from our previously historically bad conditioning coach is now being promoted into the role?

    Make it make sense

  16. Pete Carroll hired his kids at the Raiders last season and it didn’t work out for any of them.
