Let’s be accurate here. He did not make the conditions which makes losing extremely advantageous. Tanking predates Silver by many years. What is accurate is that he has enabled tanking way more than his predecessors ever did.
I think the lottery makes things worse. There aren’t any NFL teams actively trying to lose and it doesn’t seem to be a problem. But hey let’s let play in teams have a shot at the #1 pick because that makes so much fucking sense.
This meme isn’t true at all. Silver has done a lot to actively disincentivize tanking. It’s now less of an advantage than it’s ever been to tank. Maybe someday the Jazz ownership or management will realize that.
