He’s already accomplished more than Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert. He’s made it to the superbowl
I’m a lifelong Seahawks fan. And I was bitter towards the patriots cause of Super Bowl 49 and Malcom butler. And to continue to see them in superbowls over an over. Idk if it’s cause we finally redeemed our selves over the patriots in the Super Bowl. But I genuinely felt bad for Drake maye. Listening to the mic’d up segments. He seems like a really likeable kid. TBH though. Patriots didn’t win Super Bowl 49. Seattle lost it by not running it with Marshawn.
All signs point to no.
Damn..the Patriots
schedule next year is brutal….Bills twice..Bears ..Lions.. Chiefs..Chargers..Broncos..Jags.. Steelers..Seahawks…say goodbye to the cake walk
I'm a diehard Patriots fan but you gotta realistic as a fan. Brees never made it back! Rodgers never made it back! Burrow hasn't, Ryan never got back, Stafford is still trying to get back. I'm not even saying Drake is ever gonna be on some of their levels I'm just pointing out how tough it really is. Brady and Belichick aren't walking through that door and this fanbase has been spoiled and just assumes we'll be back. I hope, but rarely the case.
This team won't go back. Hollins, Diggs, Henry, Moses, Hooper and Bradbury are all 30+ years old on offense. Good thing they have cap space but it will be gone very quick next year as they try to get an offensive line and a blocking TE. If Vrabel was so good (Coach of The Year) then why didn't they fix the O Line all year? Maye was sacked almost 50 times during the season and 21 times once they played good defenses in the playoffs. No wonder he got injured. He won't last 5 years in the league at this pace.
Yes of course we’ll be back. It’s Boston. We have some of the deepest pockets in the world, and the history and dedication of winning championships in all sports leagues. The pats are still a young team. Let them develop for a year or two. And let us spend the money on some more key players we 100% need. If we want to win the Super Bowl that’s what needs to happen.
Too young and needs anger management. Long way to prove himself yet only then can do such role.
The seven are Craig Morton (Dallas, Denver), Len Dawson*, Bob Greise*, Fran Tarkenton, John Elway*, Jim Kelly, Jalen Hurts*.
It’s funny how these people around these nfl podcasts praise Vrabel. Yet he hasn’t win anything
Those other 37 didn’t have Mike Vrabel leading the team.
They had a similar stat about first time starters who lost and never returned when Stafford and Burrow both made their first appearance prior to that Superbowl too.
Can go either way who would of thought in 2011 Rodgers would never be back? Who would of thought darnold would beat Lamar & Allen?
Is there still a TB12 place at Gillette ?
Drake "The Schedule" Maye was exposed on Sunday.
Tell that to Tom Brady
Here's a good one for you Rich "What’s More Likely," Drake Maye gets another Superbowl shot or the Dallas Cowboys make their first appearance since January 28, 1996?
Good thing he plays for an Organization that goes to Super Bowls!! Let the kids grow before you cut them down, this team was so far ahead of schedule!
Bad quarterbacks rarely even make it to the Super Bowl — that’s why there are few that have lost the first one and never went back to win.
It’s real simple. There’s no need to overcomplicate this. The last good team the Patriots played, with a good quarterback, that was relatively healthy was the Buffalo Bills. They lost. They played another good team in the Seahawks with a good quarterback, and they lost. They literally had the third easiest schedule in the HISTORY of the NFL. Then in the playoffs they got to play a quarterback with a broken hand and no tackles for protection. CJ Stroud with no weapons. And then a back up quarterback, who hadn’t thrown a football in 800 days for the AFC championship game. No Allen, no Mahomes , no Burrow, no Jackson to deal with in the postseason. Pats fans, REAL pats fans knew they were on borrowed time and understood how fortunate this entire season has gone for them. 🤫💯 The disrespect of handing Mike Vrabel coach of the year (with that schedule) over somebody like Mike McDonald, Liam Cohen, Ben Johnson, or even Kyle Shanahan with all the injuries they had to deal with, is ridiculous. This patriot team was never an all-time team. Drake Maye is not special and he certainly is not Tom Brady 2.0 and they certainly are not gonna go on another 20 year run. I don’t think they’ll go back to winning four games a year, but I also don’t think winning 14 or 15 games a season is in their card either. I think there’s somewhere in between, so for that there’s optimism and a step in the right direction. ✌🏼
Earl Morrall technically did it too. He didn’t start Super Bowl V, but he played more of the game than Johnny Unitas did.
That's a really bad statistic to a part of. There's no sugar-coating it. To say the odds are against him is an understatement!
what divisions do the Patriots play next year? Good luck with that first place schedule.
I think we need to drop the “Drake Maye was nearly MVP” narrative, he wasn’t.
Those statistics are ominous for Drake Maye. Only seven QB's returned to the SB after losing their first appearance in the game and only four QB's won a SB in their return appearance. When you consider 60 SB's have been played the odds for Maye to return never mind win a SB are slim. Oh well, it will provide him incentive for next season. Would be awesome if he becomes the number five QB to return and win.
This Pat's campaign makes Belichick-Brady's first 3 Superbowls look that more incredible. The vibes were similar, even to the fact that Brady hasn't finished the AFC game due to injury and yet started in the SuperBowl against a more complete and better team. And then won it. And then went to repeat the same 2 more times in 3 years.
That type of intensity and execution is just unbelievable.
The Belichick HOF snub is one of the worst scandals in NFL history
I still say Nacua & Adams were the difference between Stafford & Maye for MVP and it showed in the Superbowl. The seahawks defence struggled against Nacua & Adams, but had no trouble with the Pats receivers.
Excellent clip
Drake "The Schedule" Maye had an extremely weak schedule in 2025. Don't be surprised if they miss the Playoffs completely next season with a much tougher schedule. Road schedule is just brutal.
