  2. It’s not the first time other rival players and teams have pointed out how flawed this team is. This is what is thought about the team around baseball. The Dodgers pointed out how poorly ran we are and how we lack fundamentals and now IKF is exposing the bluejays knew they could exploit us.

    The Blue Jays had our number all season last year, of course they were thinking we were the easier team to play in the post season.

  10. I attended a Yankees v. Pirates game at PNC Park not too long ago, when IKF was a Pirate. The Pirates fans started a “Sell the Team!” chant upon IKF making an idiotic error, I believe, while playing second base.

  12. A lot of this just comes down to Cashman’s laziness.

    In 2024 he was happy to roll with Verdugo and Rizzo in the WS. As usualy the bullpen was a mess. And Boone made all kinds of mistakes. If you’re gonna have mediocre talent then you need a great manager to motivate and get the best out of them and that’s not Boone.

    In 2025 Cashman was fine with Carasco and Stroman and bullpen games, no urgency to put together a solid rotation early. The rotation was just cooked by the playoffs.

    He’s a rummage sale GM, no need to sign or trade for top talent when you think you can fix someone else’s castoffs on the cheap.

  15. The shame of all this is that Cashman gets lots of money from Steinbrenner and pisses it away on dumb costly contracts. Then of course, the problem is compounded by Steinbrenner’s inability to take charge or more to the point “be in charge”.

  16. It’s just funny coming from a guy who went 0fer against us in the DS and had like a .400 OPS in the postseason as a whole and basically cost TOR the WS.

  21. I really don’t think the Yankees should take too much stock in a guy that hit .162 in the post season last year. Maybe if he should more on self improvement, then maybe he could find a forever home.

  24. Anyone getting butt hurt over this needs to toughen up a bit. Nothing wrong here at all. I like a little confidence/chippiness from players. Whether he was right or wrong, the Jays beat us.

  25. the clip I heard, he literally didn’t even mention the Yankees. sounded more like he was complimenting the Red Sox organization (his new team, big surprise there) and explaining how they were a tougher match up for him, which they statistically were. what’s the issue? was he wrong? although I can understand Boone taking it as a slight jab since he had to defend him on a nightly basis when he sucked for us.

    I love when a former player destroys the Yankees carefully crafted media narrative from Cashman and the media shills that they are this flawless process with a world series roster, and how dare any fan question how incredible they are. Sherman telling fans to shut the F up, Kay working overtime they are running it back but also at the same time aren’t because the real offseason was the trade deadline and blah blah. Laughable bs that Cashman spouts.
    If The Yankees spent as much energy on their roster as they do their littany of excuses they would actually be a WS team. I’m glad IKF exposed them.
    They are rolling back the exact team that Toronto were excited to beatup- spin that Cash.

  30. The Yankees need to use this as bulletin board material. Yeah, they shouldn’t need it. But you’ve got the dodgers and now the bluejays saying things like this. It’s got to hit home at some point and you would hope they clean up their fundamentals etc.
