Titans fans would you want rueben bain if available. Or would you rather take david bailey if bain goes off the board. We need to improve the pass rush this offseason. What is your pick

  1. I like Bailey more as a prospect he has incredible bend, but he does have character concerns and not just the stuff with the photographer

  2. I don’t think either are worth drafting in the top 5. I’d rather take an Elite WR, Styles, or Downs. There’s quality edges you can take later. I don’t think there’s a blue chip elite edge in this draft. Definitely high ceiling guys, but a guy that’s elite? Not this year. Get Cam a playmaker or take one of the 2 best players in the draft.

  3. I’m a Bain guy, but Bailey isn’t exactly a consolation prize. This is a roll of the dice. Who knows who turns out better.

  4. Bailey, but i would be happy with Bain. Just don’t want a 2024 situation where Nabers and Alt would have been ideal but we ended up with Latham (who I still believe in!). I guess Reese would be okay too though…or trade down. I dunno. This year feels light on elite guys, but good depth, so more of a crapshoot than other years.

  5. I want versatility and Bailey does one thing great.

Bain, Downs, or Reese before Bailey for me.

Bain is great at pass rush and run stopping, could play outside or inside the d-line.

Downs can switch between safety, CB, and LB.

Reese can play LB in pass coverage, run stopping, and also rush the edge.

Bailey can get off the line of scrimmage fast and rush the edge. That’s his superpower, but he’s more of a pure rusher.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sweat, Xavier Woods, or Cody Barton get moved and then the Titans get Downs or Reese to fill that spot in a role that fits a Saleh scheme better.

  6. It’s a really interesting conversation, I think you draft Bain if you want a bonafide 5+ year starter who might only be a 5-9 sack guy, but he has such a high floor in all other areas that he’s worth a top 5 pick in that regard.

On the flip side, Bailey has really high potential as our version of Will McDonald where his main impact is on 3rd down, but he has 10+ sack potential, but there’s a world where he’s just too much a liability against heavy sets and the run game to be a consistent starter even if he gets a bunch of sacks.

For a top five pick, I’d rather gamble on the high upside of Bailey, but can’t blame anyone for wanting Bain. I just feel like if you’re drafting Bain, you might as well see if you can trade down and try to grab Keldric Faulk who I think plays similar to Bain, but has an insane prototypical build and is only 20.

  7. Really depends on FA and how Saleh is moving guys around if switching to a 4-3. Femi and Harrell can both play end. Sweat SJD Jeff and Lynch inside. Then Williams and Gray SAM and WILL Barton at Mike and we can address the absolute dumpster fire of a secondary instead

  8. I think Bain is the most versatile guy that can be a game wrecker pretty much anywhere you put him. I want that dude. If not him, Reese

  9. I go back and forth every week, but if I had to guess who the FO would prefer, I’d lean Reuben Bain.

Bailey has some minor character concerns, and Borgonzi clearly views that very highly. I kind of lean Bain right now too simply because it feels like he’s a more well-rounded player.

  10. I want Tyson sorry not sorry. Give ward an elite weapon go defense and o line rest of draft and free agency

  11. I say Bailey. If you want to rev up a defense really quick, get to the quarterback and get to him quickly.

  12. Bailey’s character concerns is why we won’t be picking him. And i hate bringing up character, but Borgo has made it clear what he’s looking for.

  13. I want Bain because I like big strong ogres with versatility, but if Saleh wants to go heavy wide 9 rush, that’s Bailey all the way.

  14. Bain. Imagine a front 4 of Bain/Sweat/Simmons/Femi, with Cedric Gray and Winston Jr coming down to clean up. Do you run towards probably the best run defender coming out of college and a top 5 run stuffing NT, or the best DT in the league along with a solid run defender in Femi? Pick your poison.

That allows Saleh to sit back in his elite cover 3/4 scheme while still having a good enough front 4 to generate pressure on 3rd downs assuming we also sign a pure pass rusher edge in FA, like Oweh/Hendrickson. We will be giving opposing QBs nightmares with that DL

  15. Bain is my first choice, however i’d also be fine with Reese, Bailey, or Downs because we have Saleh. Supposing of course we go Defense in the 1st round.

I could also be convinced on Keldric Faulk if we got a decent trade down situation, we’d lose out on a top end pass rusher but get someone who hard counters the run and can give us “some” pressure/rush potential.

  16. Downs 100%
But reese or bailey will be great also
Im not as high on bain but im sure whoever we take will be great

  17. Bain. Bailey’s run defense is REALLY bad. I thought it would just be meh, but I’ve seen several clips of him getting pushed like 10 yards off the LOS.

It’s honestly strange to me considering how athletic and physical he looks on some of his pass rushes

  18. Either would be great but I would probably lean more on Bain because hes more balanced and can defend really well against the run too
