I don’t know any of these people. Quick, someone tell me how to overreact!
Everything I’m reading about Murray is that he was not a good coach. Apparently he could recruit but couldn’t develop RB’s. Oklahoma was very glad to get rid of him.
Please tell me that all these guys have experience in their individual roles. I don’t think we’ve ever seen can take another former WR as running backs coach
Feels like an upgrade across the board. I like having coaches who’ve actually coached or played the positions they’re leading. At the same time, there’s something to be said for keeping a few familiar faces who already know the locker room. It’s always that balance between continuity and fresh ideas.
But ultimately, yes, these hires mean headed back to the Super Bowl! 🤣
I’ll wait to see the results before I start talking any smack. Though I will say it was obvious that we needed to make some changes. On the surface the O’Shea hire looks really good. DeMarco Murray was at least a really good pro running back, and does at least have years of coaching experience behind him. I’m sure EB will give him some pointers on the coaching side of things.
all I know is Matt Nagy is gone, and that alone gives me hope. For better or for worse, we needed a change, and we’re getting actual change.
I don’t know how it will all turn out but I’m glad that they admitted there was a problem and cleaned house.
I will never forgive DeMarco Murray for cock blocking my yearly fantasy football pick of Derrick Henry before he was unleashed. Glad he’s on our coaching staff!
