He seems to think an “ankle dislocation fracture” is the most likely injury.

  2. Poor Fiala—that must be so devastating, and god not to mention it looks painful af. Hard to watch. Hate to say this season might just be fucked, so my thoughts are just with Fifi now and his family.

  3. I just watched this video. I didn’t even know he got injured until this popped up into my feed. I was about to post it. So thanks. I will say that, which Im sure I’ll be in then minority here, but knowing Wilson’s history, it certainly looked like he as trying to trip up FIFI . How does his skate end up between both of Fifi’s skates. Retribution is coming

  4. I might be overthinking this, but this video is very concerning. Take the face down stretcher position, and the fact that the first medical team member didn’t seem to want to do anything without another opinion or guidance. That indicates that this is likely a hip dislocation or possibly reinjuring his femur. Neither one is good.

If he broke his ankle, they’d know to immobilize it. Right..?
What I’m worried about is that he did break his ankle, and that his medical team didn’t really know what to do. That sounds ridiculous, but if I recall, Charlie MacAvoy was injured during the 4 Nations cup, and it was not handled correctly. You’d have thought he was getting the best medical care possible, but it caused all kinds of problems. I’m just a little afraid that this whole situation isn’t done getting worse for Fiala. I hope Im wrong though.

  5. Swiss HC said it was an injury on the lower leg (He said Unterschenkel, which is basically calf and shin). Doesn’t 100% rule out ankle, but fractured tibia/fibia might be possible too.
