2. I’m also eyeing both those things this year. I think Shohei has a bit better shot at the Cy Young than I do, but I have a better shot at staying healthy (I dont really do anything).

5. MVP? Absolutely. Cy Young? No chance.

6. He’s the second best starter on his team. I doubt it, but it would be cool to see. We’re still all waiting for that 15 WAR season.

8. I really hope Shohei’s arm can hold up. That’s the thing I’m most worried about because baseball (and sports as a whole) would be hurt deeply by him missing any kind of time.

14. There are too many good pure pitchers in the league. He’s a #3 starter at best. That being said, a #3 starter and MVP DH in one guy is still amazing.
