  1. Maybe stop rigging the lottery and let the bad teams get better. Instead they keep giving the best players to the team the nba thinks will be best. Spurs got Wemby, Castle, Harper in the last 3 drafts. Dallas trades Luka gets Flagg. Pelicans trade AD to LA and get Zion. Rose to Chicago. LeBron to Cleveland. It keeps going but you get the point. Dallas will get a top 3 pick this year too. Utah has never got a top 2 pick. Utah and Indiana are the only teams to never move up in the lottery.

  2. Shocker another lazy video about the jazz tanking and not one of the 5 teams doing it more egregiously. Sure pick on the team that sat a guy for 1 quarter because he’s getting surgery and another guy who just came out of an illness that dropped him 10 pounds. And who has ever said “they sat Nurkic to lose” bro is a backup center who was traded for scraps. Yall are a joke

  3. Its bullshit. The league is targeting the Jazz because they're an easy target with little backlash. They were supposed to be so bad their over/under was 18.5, they've already won 18, and they get fined for tanking. The League "Sorry, youre not exceeding your preseason expectations enough by the All-Star break…FINED"

  4. Jazz suck at tanking. They can't let fans see their stars on the court. You lie about injuries or just sit a player. OKC sat a healthy Horford after they got him for rest of season to get Chet. That's how it's done.

  5. Let's just face it, Adam Silver is just going to take over the nba. let him just determine who gets the draft picks, who and when players play in games, who goes to the playoffs, etc. all hail the nba dictator.

  6. the nba is so worried about tanking yet no other league cares cause it’s good for the league when bad teams get better while the nba has been protecting their good teams to screw the bad small market teams thunder and spurs tanked and no one cared adam silver just is a terrible commissioner

  7. FWIW, I’ve always hated tanking. It should never be OK for a team to benefit from intentionally losing.

Change the rules. I like the idea that as soon as a team is mathematically eliminated, any wins they get count towards them getting the #1 seed.

I’d also eliminate pick protections, or limit them to just the first pick.

  8. Last time the Jazz have picked in the top 4 was a #2 pick in 1980. Spurs have done that the last three years in a row. Cavs have had 7 #1 picks in that time. But yeah the Jazz are evil.

  9. The Jazz have been on the other side of this. The Warriors owed the Jazz a protected pick in 2012. That season, the Warriors traded Monta Ellis for an injured Andrew Bogut and tanked just enough to keep their pick (which ended up being Harrison Barnes). They're only doing what has been done to them before. As long as losing comes with rewards, teams will continue to do it.

  10. This is exactly how Spurs got David Robinson and Tim Duncan back in the day, twice, they run this tactic twice and got two legends, and if Kawhi didn't leave the way he did, Wembanyama would be the exact same, and more recently OKC like many pointed out, but somehow Jazz can't? I don't get it, I honestly don't get it, do these content creator got paid by Adam Silver or what, all of them all of the sudden start saying the exact same words as those sports media like it's the end of world? THIS HAPPENS LITERALLY EVERY YEAR, No I don't like this deliberate tanking, but double standard I hate more, way more.

  11. I'm so tired of hearing competitive basketball, no one just turns on random games, you watch your team and that's it. You want your team to win by 50 every game. Stop this competitive crap. No one is turning on a game and watching saying "man these rosters aren't balanced, think ima go play call of duty

  12. also! if jazz are gonna go for playoff next year which they are as they gave up their pick! shouldnt the focuis this year be on evaltuating the youngsters and giving them valauble experience! so playing in the 4th qtr gives those youngsters valuable playtime as jackson and jussuf nukic have playoff experience! and lauri has a lot of regular season experience!! this is BULLSHIT! and playing your starters/stars 3 qtrs is somehow worse than sitting out yuor entire startin 4 for all 4 qtrs!? is worse than trea young sitting out the whole season!?

it is worse for degenerate gamblers as gablers know ok player x and y wont play so dont bet on the team but jjj and lauri are playing put money on jazz then to see your money go down the drain

  13. Jazz has ultimately decided to play by the unwritten rule, which is to list the players as injured even though they're not. How is that beneficial for the fans. As everyone has said before, playing the players 3 quarters is better than 0. This happens when the league measures integrity based on betting lines. Adam Silver what a pathetic hypocrite you are.

  14. Starter salary based on performance. 100% if they play and win, 80% if they play and lose, and 50% if they sit out. That would eliminate tanking and load management immediately. Players would care and would play harder if it affected them financially. They could do something similar with coach contracts, too. Definitely any player with a max contract.

  15. its not true. We are lying. Its just to tank. I wouldn't be surprised if we get fined another hefty amount for this. I cant believe it personally I think we should just try to play like normal and maybe win like 33 ish games and just hope for a high pick.
