Latest Update On Lavonte David’s Decision To Return Or Retire

  1. I would be down for another year of Lavonte if his struggles were indeed due to the lingering knee issues, and if he is healthy he can still provide a good base level of play at ILB and help groom who ever we draft to play along side him. At 7-8mil he would still be worth the money and it would be cool to see him be the leader in tackles and other stats for off ball LB’s for the Bucs and further cement his HOF resume. IMO Brooks would still be considered the goat Bucs LB since he has the DPOY award and was the leaser of that legendary 2002 defense.

  2. Resign him. Sign another off ball linebacker to start next to him and draft another one in the mid rounds. Do a similar thing with edge/olb. Sign/trade for a starter and use a premium draft pick one another one

  3. He’d probably be fine if he had an actual bonafide NFL MLB next to him. Dennis is horrendous and not a good partner for this older David.

  4. We loved Lavonte. Father Time does now, too. Thanks for the memories and have a great retirement.

  5. He might decide to play and not for the Bucs. I hope not, but that’s a real possibility.
