Watching Willie get handed a stuffie was peak cringe.
LT did great in the game he started. And Wilson was a force. He played well that whole gold medal game.

If Canada had won, I would have been happy for them but man it would hurt to have watch us lose to Canada in the gold medal game a 3rd time in my lifetime.
Was happy Tom and LT got selected, but I didn’t care past that point. This is the outcome I wanted.

Tirico and Olcyck called out Wilson’s strong play. Willie almost had the GWG but McAvoy slid in behind the goalie to body block it.
They played a great tourney. I wish Sid had been in the lineup today.

US fan here. Watched the whole game and I feel like the better team did not win. Happy for the US team, can’t help but feel bad for Wilson and his teammates. And the three on three gimmick; watching the last two periods I don’t think the USA scores if the game remained 5 aside, absolutely non threatening at all periods 2 and 3.

I really think Canada was the better team. It just came down to pure hustle for Jack Hughes. He split the two Canadian players and took the puck off the stick of one of them to score that goal. It was a great game all around.
Wilson did great today, that forecheck that led to a turnover in the US ozone really got the crowd going. Even though he wasn’t on the ice for anything huge, I am extremely happy. Was looking at my Wilson jersey hanging in above my bed the whole time.
As far as leadership, Caps will be in great hands with TW.
Wilson did absolutely nothing all tournament, should’ve left him at home

Soooooo happy Canada lost. After all the whining they’ve done over everything, cheating in curling and overall just being an insufferable country of losers this felt so damn good.
I’ll cheer our boys on when they are back in their proper sweaters but until then I’ll enjoy their tears. Little bitches, all of em.
