Can the BILLS put an END to their WIDE RECEIVER SAGA? Potential PROSPECTS & FIXES with Matt Harmon

We’re always talking about wide receivers and the Bills.

On Friday, the wide receiver prospects spoke to the media at the NFL Combine, including a pair of WRs that draft analysts have projected to Buffalo at No. 26. Hear what KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston had to say about what they could bring to the Bills.

Plus Matt Harmon from Yahoo Sports joins Buffalo Plus to talk about the Bills current wide receiver room, Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir and what they can do to improve it.

Mike, Jenna and Dan discuss all of that and more on the latest episode of the Buffalo Plus Podcast.

  1. Dan is referring to the Waffle House Weather Index which, is informally used by FEMA to measure the severity of the storm ( usually hurricanes). It's a play on that the last place to close in a storm would be a Waffle House and if the Waffle House is closed it's time to get out of Dodge.

  2. I still feel sad that Sean is not there and Beane is ! Brady to me looks like he’s got some maturing to do before he’d b an effective head coach . Like a wind up toy that says the same thing all the time ?
I hope they get some good picks this year! Still feel sad though. A fan for 55-60yrs!

  3. Dan is 100% correct, the former FEMA Director Craig Fugate used Waffle House's opening status and the variety of its menu offered as an indicator of what the on-the-ground conditions are.

  4. Sometimes I need edibles to deal with the non-stop whining about a WR. Jesus Christ, get our DEFENSE right first. You will continue to talk about WR's and torture me.

  5. I’m gonna be honest, I fear how vicious a certain group of Bills fans might be if Concepcion gets drafted and has a big drop. I’d love to have him, and the rochester connection would be special but I worry about the potential name-calling

  6. So all this week here is what I learned… Mike has brittle bones, Dan is shorter than we thought and Jenna is the reason we have Buffalo Plus… did I miss anything??? 😂😂

  7. Like the updated ending graphic. Enjoyed the week in Indy updates. I hoped I'd catch you guys peaking around McAfee's desk when Brady and Beane were yucking it up.

  8. Govt. and municipalities does consider whether Waffle House in an area is closing, because often they provide food and shelter during weather extremes. They aren't controlled by it though.

  9. Too bad Louisville’s Chris Bell has a torn ACL. But Beane is good at choosing players who can’t play immediately like Hoecht and Ogunjobi, so fingers crossed.

  10. Dan is right. FEMA uses “The Waffle House Index” (among many other factors) to determine the severity of storms. If a Waffle House is closed in a location they know right away the storm is bad. If it’s open then the storm may not be so bad.

  11. FYI – the Waffle House thing is real. FEMA does pay attention to Waffle House. Furthermore, Waffle House has a disaster team AND has protocols for the various types of storms.

  12. I wish Brady would watch your interview with Harmon. I don’t understand why he keeps trying to force Coleman to be something he is not. On the report cards- so we learned the Bills fired an A- HC and replaced him with A- OC??

  13. Why trade for players that other teams are trying to get rid of behind the scenes? They shouldn’t be impatient. Call the other team’s bluff. I’m just talking man. Lol

  14. @12:45 Exude is a tough one? Don’t lower the bar, Jenna. People that speak and write words need to know how to spell words. Humans can beat robots. We can’t give in yet. I believe in you, Dan.

  15. Guys: You want a WR, but you don't even know who their fathers are or that Denzel Boston is basically a bigger version of Keon. Boston is not Puka. I don't want that at all. Omar Cooper Jr. and/or Josh Cameron (preferably defense early and Cameron in like the 3 or 4) is where it's at.

  16. Matt Harmon basically reiterating what I've been saying: Keon is a valuable player in the slot. Bills development has failed him. 100%. Despite what Mike tried to pull out of Brandon Beane, etc: Keon has a TON of potential. Never was going to be an X ever. If Keon stays in Buffalo, naysayers will be eating crow because Buffalo never used him correctly in the offensive scheme.
