[Garafolo] Former #Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson is joining the #Eagles’ coaching staff, source says. Johnson and Houston mutually parted ways so he could seek other opportunities. He heads to Philly to work alongside HC Nick Sirianni and new OC Sean Mannion.

  1. Not exactly thrilled to pick up anyone involved in Stroud’s ‘development’

  2. Mannion’s offense requires precise footwork, CJ Stroud’s footwork was abysmal. Still in a lower position, might not be too bad a hire.

  3. Dude is probably going to have a title like “Offensive analyst” so I’m really not too concerned. And honestly? I don’t mind getting cast offs from other teams, might get some hungry coaches looking to work hard and resurrect their careers

  4. I trust our FO and we’ve interviewed JJ several times over the years.

Stroud is a shit QB that I wouldn’t blame any coach for. Dude is a certified bust that had a good year. No one can convince me any QB coach could have made up for Stroud s blunders last year. He was unspeakably bad.

  5. Every coach involved with the Texans offense is seen as nuclear right now. Their OL sucked big time especially in CJ’s second year, I assumed that led to developing many bad habits rather than whatever his QB coach told him. Add in his WRs always getting hurt and I’d take it a little easy on their coaches blame. This guys coming in as probably an Asst. QB coach or something anyway

  6. Don’t worry.

If A.I. takes your job, Nick Sirianni will probably end up hiring you as a coach.🤣

  7. Surrounding hurts with a bunch of guys who couldn’t cut it in the NFL. Guess we’ll see how well this goes.
