He clearly refuses to stop playing Mcdavid and Draisaitl over 25 minutes a game! He only hopes they can score 5 points a night and carry the team. They've wasted 10 years of their career and you're asking them to be better? What a joke. Maybe do what you did they other day and play the lines that produced more then 10 minutes genus. You are a disgrace to all the coachs in this league and you should be fired. Blaming this on connor and leon when the defense is abysmal is ridiculous.

  4. People blame the coach first thing they blame and second they blame the goalie that's why skinner got traded when are people going to wake up and it just not the coach its the players and the goalies. Stop blaming one person every damn game

  7. Bench missed first goal being offside. It wasn't even close. Guy leaving zone was 1 foot offside when Celebrini crossed line.

  12. No hope for this team this year, just not their year. Walman and Nurse and even Ekholm are not playing up to their standards, all lack a ton of confidence right now. Oilers weakness right now are against fast teams like the Ducks, Habs, Sharks – crusty team not equip anymore to match those young guns

  22. Team needs to technically be pushed to learn new strategies and location awareness instead of reverting to old comfortable complacency . Leadership is key , can't let players lead , must be from bench , and players shouldn't dismiss that direction because they think they don't have to .
    They all seem to be looking for this but at a loss to find where to start .

  25. What's wrong with trying Nurse at wing? He could probably forecheck nicely and we have actual defensemen to backline if he makes a bad play. Maybe we get more use out of him there?

  32. When your best player is Bouchard, that’s a red flag. Everyone turned pucks over, including him, and that tunnel vision doesn’t kill offense, it kills your defense and leads to big giveaways.
    And ripping Nurse is pointless. His contract isn’t movable. He’s an asset you can’t get rid of, so the only real option is to figure out how to use him properly and get him playing the way the team needs.

  36. Are they actually coaching these guys to not actively engage in front of the net? Its the only explanation as they would have been taught "take the stick" since minor hockey.

    Sorry but its time to switch coaching as a wake up call. Hes saying nuggy/hyman would need to go below the goal line? They stood next to the goal scorer and didn't eliminate the stick. If coach can't recognize that its time.

  37. Jeff Jackson and Stan Bowman, made the team worse year over year since 2024 cup run. Ego and Monet effect. Sucks for 97 and knobs for Edmonton – I dont see 97 staying, poor gm’ing often goes unnoticed because they aren’t talking to media before/after every game, but affects team for years.
