As a Detroit fan I’m sad to see Knuckles go, but this trade is better for his career and for Lions to strengthen the OL
As a Detroit fan I'm sad to see him go, but this trade works well for both Houston and us. Houston is getting a quality workhorse RB1 with 2 good contract years, and Detroit is getting some crucial draft picks. Plus, Monty is going to want to get his last big contract in 2 years, and he wasn't going to get the carries and stats in Detroit to maximize his money potential. Go kick some a$$, Monty, we'll miss you. 🦁💙
so lame 🙁
useless 4th and 7th round pick plus a random o lineman for one of our best players. i dont know what the Lions are doing lately but I hate all of it
Texans are definitely going OL in the draft which they should've been doing anyway but also Detroit is going for a 2nd/3rd round running back to take the load off Gibbs but probably to a lesser extent than Montgomery.
The lions are the dumbest franchise ever.
I was pretty bummed last season to see DMo lose snaps, and I’m sad to see him leave Detroit. But I hope he’s a big impact in Houston.
U have to understand that the Lions are about to make Gibbs the highest paid RB in the league, u can't split that amount of carries when the 💰 is record breaking
Because you didn't win anything. That's why.
Smart move by the Lions
I'm ready for Sheila to fire both Dan and Brad! They didn't even use DMO last season AND Dan was calling plays! News Flash teams know how to shutdown Gibbs now watch the tapes from last season! 6-11 season incoming. Congrats Brad the Lions are now worse than they were yesterday!
I'm happy for David, that my Lions sent him to a place he can get plenty of playing time. He wasn't going to be doing anything but sitting on the bench in Detroit.
What the hell happened with Joe Mixon? I feel like it never gets addressed.
Just money. Can't pay that much for a backup RB when you have holes on the roster and are over the cap.
In the second half of the season Montgomery was getting under 7 carries per game.
You guys know I'm the biggest Detroit Lions fan I completely understand. Running backs don't have long shelf life. I've actually chauffeured David Montgomery he couldn't be a nicer person and he would never be the main running back in Detroit get your bag brother we will definitely miss you in the D
David Montgomery is down to earth and tips very well LOL.
The Lions are a worse team today. By a lot. Teams HAD to scheme for both backs. Now they can just send the house to Gibbs every play. Oh yeah, don't forget how shitty Gibbs is at picking up the blitz and D-Mo was maybe the best back at it in the league. Goff will not have clean looks, you'll see.
Terrible loss for the Lions, they should have let Petzing utilize Sonic & Knuckles better in '26. Gibbs was better with Monty, Dmo didn't take any runs away from him at all. Texans gain a great back!
The Lions have a lot of holes to fill, Montgomery was a luxury they no longer could afford to keep
Did he say Dmo's role deminished over the last couple of years? 😂🤣 He meant over the last 10 games last year.
Dumbest decision. Gibbs can't do it on his own, and wverytime Monty touched the ball last season he averaged 6 yards a carry. Brad Holmes needs to go. What a clown.
Idk who cut up these interviews into 4 min videos but I just wanna talk to them man lol
Lotta Lions casuals who don't understand this is a terrible move by the Lions, and the Texans fleeced the Lions.
Lions fans were sad to see Jamal Williams go. He's out of the league 2 years later. Love Monty, but this was a no brainer.
"AN ACTUAL O LINEMAN!"
Let me help you with this ,Rich!
Juice was rated in 2025, by PFF with an overall rating of 78th out of 81 offensive lineman playing this year!
Oh but, he did great against the Jaguars and The Panthers!
Like that's hard to do!
No,…a smart GM would have admitted Teslaa was a waisted pick,…trade him, and hang on to the best running back duo in the league!!
You feel great about this!?
HOW!?
He just gave up a player that brought in over ten touchdowns a year, to get a player that rates a 40.5 on pass blocking and a measly 45.0 OVERALL!!
You gotta get a better corresponder
Another DUMB move by this GM who has got to go.
Another 7-9 season coming soon.
Sad to see him go but no doubt he deserves the opp!
Lions fan here. I’m pissed off they blew it this season in how they used and treated DMo. I hope he out performs Gibbs in his new gig. We traded away half of the best duo in the game. Johnson knew how to use both and keep DMo happy. Morton and Campbell blew it big time.
