3. What are your thoughts on the rumours of Hage being a big ask for Thomas? I love Hage, and I think he can be that 2C Montreal needs, but at the same time, Thomas is already a proven 1st line centre who could instantly strengthen Montreal down the middle, and you’d lose Hage but Hage still needs to prove that he will be that centre. Overall I think they should just wait it out, it’s not worth the risk.

4. Kadri to Carolina would be a perfect fit. They are not going anymore with that second line in the playoffs. Robert the caveman Thomas is going to Buffalo. Unless Stevie Y chooses to overpay, Trocheck is going to Wild. That leaves my Red Wings with their thumbs in their mouth, once again🤦‍♂

5. Giving Zacha up a deal for Vincent Trocheck only makes sense to me if it's 1 for 1. Zacha is about as good. Has been on a cheaper deal, and is younger. Frankly the only way Boston would have been in on Trocheck was if Zacha wasn't coming back from his previous injury. They need a 1 c. They are good at c depth. They don't need to add a Trocheck. And frankly the PK problems seem to be systemic and not based on the players. I think this year having less practices because of the olympics made Sturm's job tougher and I think the PK and in Zone defense has been where that's shown. Those were actually the areas I would have predicted the Bruins were going to be great at this year. Sturm is known as a systems guy. But they've instead exploded offensively and gotten some pretty excellent goaltending most nights. I don't think bringing in defensive minded players is going to solve that.

   Interesting takes. Only two I completely disagree with.
   – Carolina/Dundon is typically loathe to pay big money and term on aging players, and Kadri does fall in that category. Anything can happen, but I see Trocheck before Kadri.
   – Dallas can't take on Risto's contract if want any chance of extending Robertson.

   If you had said Trocheck and Blake Coleman to Minnesota I would have named my new imaginary friend after you. Cheers.

23. Bruins don`t need Trochek for the asking price they are better off unloading some of their draft busts yes I mean Lysell and get some scoring or defensive depth they aren`t going anywhere so stock the roster

30. I don't think that the Sens would go after Myers. He wouldn't fit in. He would be too slow to play Sens style. However they haven't been hiding the fact that they been targeting Weegar
