I think the Ozzy Trapilo injury played a part in this decision.
We'll miss Drew, for sure, but it's not the end of the world. Biadasz actually played really well in Dallas, especially with excellent guard play next to him in Martin and McGovern. Thuney and Jackson are better than them, and Roushar is the best OL coach in the business.
I really like Linderbaum, but can they afford to go $22+ million for him?
For sure they'll get a C prospect, but I can't see them going with a rookie next season.
This sucks :/ Hopefully Drew enjoys retirement.
I'm not gonna lie this actually makes me worried. Your center is the captain of the line. Obviously the other guys can play but man this sucks
Yeah this sucks man…..
Use that money and improve the defense. Bears are still ahead of schedule, next year play it safe, you’re not beating the Seahawks. Bears are in good hands now with Ben
Tyler Linderbaum value just went up – significantly.
Micah Parsons gonna eat next year when he gets back out there lol
Enter Tyler Linderbaum, Ben's offense cant be handed to a rookie center
Dalman had a great career?? Gimme a break…he played 5 years and quit on his teammates & fans at 27 after signing a 3 year deal.
Did colin really say it's not a good wr draft? 🫣
Paying dudes millions can't even entice em to want to play in Chiraq
Borland was a LB
Being able to retire at 27 is a blessing
This is a pretty damn good WR draft. Not sure why you said it isnt.
Why can I never have nice things… fuck man how does this shit always happen to the Bears.
Also good for Drew got his money and left before some long term health concerns pop up.
As a Bears fan I'm disappointed that he retired from a football standpoint, but from a personal standpoint I can't blame him because I wish I could retire at 27 and be set for life.
What julius irving news did he mean
It’s a good free agency center class, not a good center draft class
Most of you are not thinking about this from the proper perspective. Drew Dalman most likely has something personal going on with himself or his family that he desires to remain private.
I do not believe he is retiring because of a desire to take his money and run.
Tough one for the Bears and Bears fans
Talking about the bears pays the bills
DA BEARS 🤭🤭🤭
Sadly will not be able to watch his play wish him well in retirement
Bears love the Rams players. Don't be surprised if they go after Limmer.
if they can land linderbaum it could be a blessing in disguise. hope dalman is ok physically into retirement
Y is he retiring at such a young age only twenty seven years old 😮😮
First of all Dallman retiring , lets hope it is not some injury or head trauma that has caused it . And lets hope his family are all ok nothing serious .
At this time he may have lost the desire to play and the passion , he is a very good player and whatever happens I wish him well . Hey maybe he has a change of heart and will come back , I hope so .
Too bad!!!! Tough to replace
Why did he retire?
I get Colin’s point about tough on the body but that’s literally why they get paid millions for.
Bears fan here. We finally get a good O line and our center retires. Best wishes to Drew, but it's very disappointing….
Make your money and get out.
He retired younger than Luke Kuechly, crazy
WELL SAID
no LT (out for 2026) and now no Center. don't tell me their line is great at the moment
Good for him, enjoy your life while you can still walk.
Smart guy, has a Stanford degree, contact his rookie money and then $18 million for 1 year's work, gets to retire at 27 and not take anymore punishment on his body. Tbh, surprised more guys don't do this. Ball out for 5 years , retire a millionaire . Invest wisely , he's set his family up for life
