We should trade down from 8, and draft Olaivavega Ioane, who is the best interior OL in the draft, and projected to go around 14th. We need young talent on rookie contracts. We could fill our biggest need and get an addition later round pick by trading down.
ESPN's Adam Schefter shares that Shaheed "is said to not be close to an extension with the Seahawks," which will set him up to talk shop with other teams once the legal negotiating window opens on Monday.
IOL is the most overlooked but critical area of need. Ruiz also needs to move to a back up role. I watched him closely last year and he has fallen off of a cliff in production.
