EMERGENCY POD: The BILLS TRADE for DJ MOORE & INSTANT REACTION

The Bills make a ‘SWING’ by trading for DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears, but it cost them a 2nd round pick. Brandon Beane is taking a risk by bringing a 29-year-old receiver coming off the worst season of his career, but there’s no denying that he does improve the Bills’ wide receiver room.

Mike, Jenna and Dan give their thoughts on DJ Moore, the compensation and what it means for the Bills moving forward on the latest episode of the Buffalo Plus Podcast.

  1. Who could you get for less? No way a late 2nd rounder will be a difference maker. Forget the age; 3 year contract for a late 20s, not worried. They need to get better now.

  2. Moore a beast it was to many months to feed with us and no cap space if he put up 1400 with Justin Fields andxyall have the best QB in league come on its a win

  3. Wide receiver position in the NFL is the most overpaid position along with defense end. As soon as Tyreek Hill got that mega deal when he went to Miami, we should’ve been drafting receivers every single year in the first couple rounds.. we waited way too long but unfortunately, because of how expensive the position is, they should still be doing that and it’s starting to look like they’re not again. Besides defense end a lot of positions have became weaker as far as salary goes. We could’ve put our capital into all those positions and got way more for them and put our draft picks into the positions that are expensive like wide receiver. That should be the plan every year because it’s common sense. Unfortunately, common sense is not too common in Buffalo.

  4. Bean’s success has come in trades and late round picks mostly. Moore fits the “ immediate now” timetable at a respectable cost, that still allows moves to happen and the addition can be very beneficial for Coleman and Kincaid to have a successful season

  5. Hate the Moore deal. Evans would have been the smarter short term deal with a much higher upside and better recent track record. Could have been a shorter commitment as well. Bills need to overhaul their drafting and signing personnel. We wasted the best player in the NFL prime years because of poor decisions. Beane and company have gotten lucky with a handful of signings in 7 years. Sorry Josh. Be good. Do good. Go Bills.

  6. The pick is a bit too high but he fills exactly what we need. And 24m over 2 years with a decent out in 2028 isn't a terrible commitment, a true young WR1 costs $35m nowadays. This also isn't the last year of Josh Allen's career, next years WR class is even better and I'm happy Beane kept all 1st rounders plus all 2027 picks. Waddle for a 2027 1st or Brown for a 1st and Sanders would have been much worse.

  7. Let’s say that this trade happened in 2025 instead of 2026. Same costs same draft picks. We don’t get TJ Sanders. How much farther in the playoffs does this team go?

My answer is we win the East, have at least the number two seed, and very likely get to the Super Bowl.

  8. Dan most of your points aren’t valid whatsoever as long as you keep saying “the salary cap isn’t real”.
And you’re flat out wrong btw

  9. Life looks better on the outside, 63k biweekly, nice clothes, good food, a beautiful home I'm grateful Lord. Your videos bring me a sense of calm, and I truly appreciate them. Thank you.❤❤

  10. Another good podcast team. Moore is a good receiver- however on the decline and too expensive. Second round pick is so so so expensive… still not an elite receiver. Beyond that – I think it’s a mistake not to even discuss contacts with McGovern. Josh may be on the defensive much more without him… especially if Dawkins declines more and whole roster building smells with overconfidence (arrogance). Work in progress certainly. The fact BILLS wr room is second in league tells you all that’s needed. Obscene is right Mike! More transactions upcoming to recoup that pick I guess.

  11. He's a TURD 💩 SANDWICH WITHOUT BREAD DJ Moore to small hght and wght avoid hits yak sucks and a carolina panthers AGAIN why can we get players from other teams is our coaches that bad

  12. The highest picked WRs from last years draft not named Tet McMillan:
Egbuka (19): 938 yards (fell off 2nd half of season)
    Golden (23): 361 yards
    Higgins (35): 525 yards
    Burden (39): 652 yards
    Harris (55): 324 yards
    Bech (58): 224 yards
    K Williams (69): 209 yards
    TeSlaa (70): 239 yards
    Bryant (74): 378 yards
    Noel (79): 292 yards
    S Williams (87): 78 yards
    Felton (102): 25 yards

Most of them are way worse than Keon, young receivers have a very hard time in this league.
