  1. The Lions hoped he would make the right choice and just retire. Unfortunately, the Lions had to handle business. A part-time LT who has a bum shoulder and can't practice can't be paid like one.

  2. Probably wouldn't have made it out of camp or pass a physical if he does go to another team. He will most likely come to his senses and retire in a few weeks similar to Za'Darius Smith

  3. 9.4 million in dead cap by releasing him. Only 11.6 million dollars saved. Decker was well worth that 11.6 million dollars and the Lions should have kept him while developing another OT. Next year's ratio of dead cap to savings is much better. This was a huge mistake by Brad Holmes as the Lions now only have 2 starter level OL in Sewell and Tate. The rest are no hopers as starters without a single one of them proven to be somebody you should be starting.

  4. This dude complained every week last year about his injuries. I though his conduct was inappropriate. The veteran along the offensive line constantly complaining about his injuries, that's a bad look. We all assumed he would just retire but he's trying to use the fact that his cap hit is high enough for them to consider keeping him. He felt disrespected with their offer but he was going to need a lot of time off to tend to his injuries. Who's paying this dude to be a part time player. Additionally, you don't get any leadership out of him.

  5. Booner's plan has potential but requires Brad to sign the top C available, manage to draft one of the better OTs available and to sign a veteran LG. That requires Brad to be a competent judge of what is needed too. After his failure last year to sign the veteran IOL needed with a pile of money left unspent you gotta question his competency in evaluating what the OL needs. Crazy Brad is probably going to try to give us Sewell at LT, Mahoganey at LG….Tate at C….Frazier at RG and f'n Manu at RT. Then he drafts a 7th rounder OT and says…We're Good.

  6. We know why he left and its great he did, they are now 5.5 mil under the cap with just that release. Yes Decker was great for 9 seasons, but 2026 woukd have been a disaster for him and the team.

  7. Why would he be the first person brad asked to take a pay cut so he gon skip pass Goff contract but go to to the guy who gave your organization 12 yrs and try to take his last money he was going to get for football because this was his last yr why would you go to decker to restructure take goff money he makin 80,000 take his shit

  8. I forgot you a Kool aid drinker smh that's why I only fw the heavyweights and der goes mobby and everything king you just like dose of dion can't see no wrong in the lions

  9. I lost confidence in Brad when he through the bag at Jammo and trading all those pics to get Tessla were the biggest mistakes. Fitzpatrick was a very serviceable receiver that would have been affordable. We could have upgraded both lines for those two moves. The Lions always go for the shiny things.

  10. McGovern is resigning with the Bills and there is no way BH is going to pay 20 plus million a year on Linderbaum. He should sign Cade Mays at center for way cheaper and he's a good NFL center. Then draft a RT and there are plenty of those in the draft. BH should actually trade out of #17 to get more draft capital and pick up oline and dline. Go back to the roots which was build through the trenches.

  11. Goff has to be willing to restructure his contract to free up a ton of cap space. Otherwise, he will be running for his life without a good oline. And running is not Goff's best attribute haha

  12. Have I lost faith in Brad Holmes, well, I still think he's a bit too "smartest guy in the room and prudent mentality." He hasn't won anything yet – take a swing like Les Snead or Howie Roseman – they're wearing rings. I'm less confident about his ability to build a roster via free agency or trades.
