1. I feel like he’s one missed playoff or first round exit from being fired. With no one better available to replace him.

5. It seems like Cassidy is just begging these guys to simply get pucks to the net, but yet, the “big names” in the lineup just aren’t executing that game plan most the time. Our D core throws more pucks on net than our forwards. The top 6 treat every OZ entry like a PP strategy. Pass around the outside for 60 seconds for one MAYBE perfect shot. If that shot hits a skate or a leg we often lose OZ control. It seems like we’re just banging our heads against a wall and the boys won’t try anything different.

6. I love Cassidy and I love his analysis. “This isn’t rocket science…Its not smart to get away from what teams struggle with and what works, and we paid the price.”

8. I feel like the roster continues to fit less and less with what Cassidy likes and what works for him. I think he knows it but can’t do anything about it, too.

   The Titanic didn’t sink because of an iceberg, it sank because the ship was built with inconsistent parts and design flaws the captain didn’t know about. That combined with hitting the iceberg from the side and not the front of the ship caused it to sink, and sink as quickly as it did.
