July? In before: "Adding Hunter Greene back off the IL is like trading for a player".
Well he wouldnt have missed anytime IF HE WOULDVE GOT THIS TAKEN CARE OF AT THE END OF THE SEASON
don’t worry, he’ll get back in late july and make 2 starts then go back to the IL for the remainder of the year. rinse and repeat
What are chances it is in CHGs best interests for him to be a closer ala JohnSmoltz
Dude is always injured
It's not like we win a lot of games with him anyway
Why not have that done last October? I question Hunter and the Reds medical staff
I do like your thesis on the game plan moving forward. Greenes return will spell a Burnes/Rhowder platoon of sorts to save innning a postseason push. (Shall the baseball Gods grant us good fortune this season)
I'm wondering the reason this wasn't found in the off season back in October/November
On its face, this sounds like great news, considering how well he pitched last season after his late start. Let's hope this really 'fixes' him.
When Greene comes back, I hope they cut Singer.
It will be interesting to see who has the better numbers come July Lowder or Burns
I’m convinced he doesn’t want to pitch and this mf had the audacity to say that the reports of him being soft is a “defamation of character “ nah he just has a shitty contract and he is trying to save his arm
Fun fact… I was also in a foreign body this weekend.
Yeah, IF Greene makes it back at all. This guy is no help at all to the Reds.
Anybody worried about our SP in Spring Training or no?
Reds medical staff seems to be highly regarded, but they have had some players over the years who seem to have been mis handled. I remember, I believe in ‘12, they let Votto play till the AS break on an injured knee that really should have been shut down. I think it changed his whole swing for a year.
And then he will pitch conservatively, afraid of re injury, and get batted around.
Playoffs?
Hunter Greene's injury situation is aggravating. Why did he wait this long to get it looked into. He is ultimate poster child for the best ability is availability
It's so interesting that in an off-season where the Reds and Greene were clearly in conflict over his perpetual injuries, Greene hides an injury from the Reds and it comes back to bite everyone. There is clearly no trust between the two parties right now.
I dont believe it. He wont be back this year. I fully expect set back after set back. Then next thing you know its August.
