  1. The Reds staff has nothing to do with this. It was a decision between Neal ElAttrache (one of the best orthos in the world) and Hunter. Guessing both were willing to gamble and lost. It sucks

  2. Kind of sad the dude had to go into that much detail to explain it to the fans. Most pitchers just get to start their treatment and start recovery.

  3. can’t be mad at him. he did what he was told physically and i’m just glad he’s getting this done now.

  4. It is what it is. We have insane pitching depth and I will be glad to have him later rather than now.

  5. Hopefully he comes back healthy, and they trade him and get some high level prospects.

  6. Best case, he comes back and helps down the stretch to make the playoffs. It sucks, but I’d rather he heal up now than in the back half of the season

  7. Man I hope he winds up ok. I really feel for the guy. I hope he has a great career. But at this point I’m ready for him to not be a Red anymore. He’s one of my favorite players of all time. But we pay him a ton and I can’t remember him ever having a full season of health

  8. Nah bro, just go ahead and leave all that shit in your elbow. You should be fine next year. All we’re waiting for now is a lodolo blister and we should be in peak form.

  9. Spencer Steer did the same thing last year. He had a nagging injury at the end of 2024 and came back into the 2025 spring thinking it would be gone. It wasn’t.

This is the Reds organization’s fault. If I’m paying someone millions for their body’s ability, it’s gotta be taken care of. I can’t imagine how a team doesn’t push for offseason surgery or rehab for a guy like Greene.

  10. So he knew there were fragments right when off-season started but didnt actually work out with any real game velocity until now to find out they are an issue…?
