Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce that the Inside R Phillies will be having Matt Gelb join us on Friday. We are super excited to have the opportunity to talk to him, and gracious that he was willing to join! For those unfamiliar, the Inside R Phillies podcast is the podcast of r/phillies, we have had various members from the subreddit join us over the past 9 months of running the podcast as guests, and for Q&A sessions.
Just like we did with Garrett Stubbs last year, I wanted to extend the opportunity to you all to submit questions that you'd like us to ask Matt. The focus of the podcast will probably be on his history covering the Phillies since 2010, and listening to him tell some cool stories about Phillies teams from the last 15 years. Feel free to submit questions about the current team too!

Gelb, we went to school together and played on a few of the same Lenape Valley baseball teams.
Not a question, but i just wanted to say how cool it’s been following your career and watching you evolve into an incredible beat writer and insider.
My wife was in many of the same Pen classes as you, and when we hear your name mentioned breaking a story, we yell out GEEEELLBBB!

When/does Miller get called up this season
how do former players get so entrenched on the coaching staffs of teams they never played for? i used to love tomas perez, but he’s been with the braves waaaaay too long.
I just want to know if there’s a reasonable chance that we get a contributing position player from inside the organization. Can I get an actual honest assessment of Crawford? Is there anyone else in the entire system besides Crawford or Miller that might play 3-4 years for the Phillies?
A few questions from me:
I want to know his favorite ballpark to cover a game and his favorite city, with a food recommendation, to travel to.
Ask him if he’s ever taken hotel shampoo or soaps?
With young kids at home how does he handle the parenting when away so much (I have the same situation so always looking for tips)?
What’s his favorite Koala trait?
Who was the nicest star player he’s covered, conversely, who is the nicest role/fill-in player he’s covered?
What is the latest TV show he binged and was it worth it?
Tell Matt I am the guy who asked him in a mailbag, during the last lockout, how deep into a work stoppage we would have to get for him to do an oral history of the Hector Luna grandslam. With another lockout impending, how deep into *that* would we have to get for an oral history?

Will it be a shortened season? Are they just going to push these issues back another few seasons? Does he has any thoughts on what the MLBPA and Manfred may/may not accomplish? Thanks.
