You can’t have it both ways,… if the cap wasn’t real you wouldn’t worry about giving up a 2nd for DJ. 10. Dan, this may sound mean, but that's not intent. Meaning it more as playful or teasing. You kind of sound like me when I was younger talking to my mom. I couldn't tell you how many times my mom told me, "honey, we don't have money for that", but then when she found something she didn't want to be without, she would break out her credit card and buy it.

    The Salary Cap is VERY real, and it's not to dissimilar from using a credit card. Saying the Salary Cap is not real because Beane finds a way to keep any player he really wants to keep, is like me, as a child, thinking monthly budgets weren't real because if my mom really wanted something, she always found a way.

    Restructures mean bonus money. Bonus money is still counted against the cap, but it's against tomorrow's cap. It still needs to be paid. It's just that it's tomorrow's problem…but as noted, it's still a problem.

    Thinking back to my days in the military. On a low level E-3's salary, those of us who had car payments could not afford to spend much on drinks on the weekend. Or I would buy the cheaper sound system than my roommate, who did not have a car payment. Think of the car payment as my "Josh Allen" or top end QB. Because I had that big payment that was a large chunk of my monthly cap, I could not buy nearly as good secondary items. But if I REALLY wanted something, I could buy better stuff if I put it on a credit card. But that really hamstrings my purchasing ability/cap in the months to come.

Low-key, I believe dee Alford is gonna be a absolute dog, can't wait to see him in leonhards scheme. I'm upset we didn't get max or trey but the deal for chubb is honestly beyond "reasonable" for a edge rusher who i believe will be better the von or bosa.
