15. I have two trains of thought with this. One is why is Austin Matthews playing to begin with? He’s not looked 100 percent, even prior to the Olympic break. Toronto isn’t in the playoff hunt, so why was’t he shut down to prevent something that could affect next season? I could understand if Toronto was in the playoff mix, but they aren’t.

    Two, why did no one in blue decide to give anyone on the other team some pain? I’ll switch this to baseball 20 years ago. If a pitcher hit a Boston Red Sox player up and in, and looked intentional. The very next game Pedro Martinez pitched against that team, he was going to get even. That didn’t happen last night.

23. Difficult hit sure but it wasn't deliberate. He was trying to check him and Matthews tried to dodge with an unfortunate result. Not suspension worthy at all but because it's Matthews he'll get a couple of games. Matthews is twisting out of the way of a check and Gudas momentum carried through.
