  1. This maybe crazy but to me the entire plan for the leafs future would depend on if they get the top 5 pick this year or not. If they do then load up if not then sell and go into a rebuild Matthews and Willy gone

  3. Stolarz for Hyman. Seriously, I don't think we're going to get much for Stolarz in a trade, but I think he is the odd man out. And, to be honest, I'm guessing that Stolarz would like to put his Leaf experience behind him.

  4. Ideally, you would somehow trade Stolarz, but his stock has taken a beating this year. The Leafs would have to eat about half his salary. I don´t know what they would get in return for him. There are teams with goaltending issues, but that might have yielded something before the trade deadline, except that Treliving is terrible at deal-making.

    BTW, could the Leafs put Carlo and Reilly on waivers and hope someone takes them? Not sure who would claim old slow defenders who don´t hit and can´t generate many points, and who would not be eligible for the playoffs. It would be a bit cold with respect to Reilly, but towards Caruseless, I feel nothing but contempt. That was one of the all-time worst trades in team history (which is not his fault, it´s Treliving´s).

Personally, I think with the likely-hood that the Leafs are going to be in a rebuild for the foreseeable future, it's best to get as much trade value as you can out of the only desirable goalie they have… Woll. Set him free from the toxic Toronto theatre. Let him play on a decent team, and pick up some prospects and/or picks at the same time. Stolarz can babysit and swap sour-dough recipes with Tavares while the Leafs tank for a couple of years.

  8. We don't have to spend forever on this– spends 10 minutes on this. A literal nobody on a league minimum contract. Dangle is down bad (like most Leafs fans)

  15. Stolarz should be the one that goes. Hilldeby and Woll share the duties next season. See what Hilldeby is made of. If you like what you see then you can trade Woll and call up the new guy in his second year of the contract. Might be a very good tandem for years to come. The point is that Stolarz and Woll can’t get the job done.

  21. My take on the goaltending situation? I think you sit on things and see how the next season plays out. And I don't just mean the Leafs' season – If you can take advantage of desperation from a team in the mix that needs to upgrade their backup, then you at least consider moving one of Woll or Stolarz… For the right price, of course. Even if the Leafs are competing for a playoff spot themselves, they still need some draft capital to get younger

  22. That's a great signing. I watched Artur Akhtyamov play in
    Kazan Russia in his VHL and KHL games. He's a great goalie and was hoping my favorite team, the Hurricanes would draft him. Toronto fans don't know how good of a goalie they have just yet. You're in for a treat.
