*”I feel confident in this decision. We came to it for a good reason. When we evaluate these plays, we look at the play, not the players”*

So confident that he has to answer questions from the media about this eh? Fuck this guy. Good reason… Yikes. He also claimed to have the best guys making this decision which is hilarious. I would never trust anyone who he thinks is “the best guy”.

  2. Toronto is the softest team but also the most suspended. How does that work?

  3. I’m so convinced it would have been like a 3 game suspension if everyone hadn’t made such a stink about the phone hearing and 5 game max. It really just felt like they went “oh wait, People are mad about this? Guess we have to give the max 5 game”. They have no idea what they are doing, so useless.

  4. All players and personalities are speaking out against this. Parros days are numbered

  5. People want some accountability. Some transparency into decisions. Instead we get wagon circling and “trust me”. I don’t often agree with James Dolan but he was right when he said he George should go immediately. It’s a three year gig he has been doing for eight years. Most guys like Shanny and Blake are good enough to find other jobs.

  6. Wasn’t kadri given a bigger suspension because of prior history? Seemed to be looking at the player and not the play there

  7. The weird thing to me is he claims to have a team and a process.

There is ZERO consistency in these suspensions.

Outside of literally having a SPIN-THE-WHEEL there cannot be a process.

  8. I thought the player was taken into account with infractions? Repeat offenders receive harsher penalties.

  9. Parros may be one the wosrt person to have as head of player safety. At this point Sean Avery would do a better job 😂

  10. Do journalist not know how to be a journalist anymore? He talks about process, what fucking process? Explain to me how Morgan Reilly cross checking Ridley Grieg ( which he wasn’t hurt or missed any games as a result ) warrants the same punishment as a knee on knee, a play in which the player will miss significant time in this case 17 games, fine take the names and status of players out of it.. Reilly had never been suspended, Gudas is on suspension #5. This is one example. Any journalist want to do their jobs and start doing a little research can come up with multiple examples of this bullshit.

  11. We, the fans, are not confident in DOPS process. We don’t GAF about Parros’ opinion on how he views his own performance.

  12. former goon…

him being in this position is the the 2nd biggest conflict of interest in the league. DOPS needs to be independent and run by non players.

  13. >”The assumption was that there was an injury on this play,” Parros explained. “Having that information and feeling that way about this, knowing that there’s likely an injury, I still decided to have just a phone hearing for that. It wasn’t like I decided to have a phone hearing, found out there was an injury, and then wished I had an in-person instead, if that’s what you’re asking.”

Does he think that helps him?

“I knew there was a serious injury to an elite player on the play and still decided to give a perennial-goon an easy ride.”

  14. Jets’ Pionk knee on Sandin takeout in 2021 only got 2 games, then Spezza fell on pionk accidentally and got 6 games (reduced to 4). Reilly got 5 games for cross check on Grig where he got up, laughed and skated away. So many more. There is clearly a bias and corrupt MO from Parros and Bettman. NHL is a joke.
