It’s not just me, right? The refs have been especially bad about being in the way this year…

3. I don’t think we need linesmen anymore. Just call it from the booth 

4. At the speeds these guys are skating, it’s pretty amazing to me that we don’t see the refs “get in the way” more often. In any case, I could see a future in which linesmen are basically made redundant by tech that can call offsides and icing.

5. We should replace linesman with AI and a LED light Blueline and LEDs on the boards for the players to see. Also less refs to breakup the fights so they continue longer.

7. I had to watch this again to understand what’s going on here. Yes, the linesman got in the way. But the play was already called dead because Dougie hit Jack at the blueline while Bratter was still a stride and half offsides.

   Dougie has no ice vision. That’s the story – not the linesman. I appreciated his cannonblaster when he was good and he seems like a chill, goofy dude. But his time better be up at the end of the season. Pay his bonus and swap his $1m actual money owed for ANYTHING reasonably good this offseason.

8. Why would you clip it like this? The play was offside because Dougie missed the target by multiple feet, the linesman had nothing to do with this. By the time your clip starts the play is already offside

   Jack was pissed off about the pass and and the Devils inability to establish the zone on that powerplay. This has nothing to do with the ref at all

9. I have been saying it for years. Have two jabronis sit in the middle to break up fights and leave the ice clear. The game is too fast now for zebras to be the way. Easy fix. They can have these toxic gambling company douchebags in the ice…utterly useless bench interviews…theres space. 

10. Linesman was in Tsyplakov’s way before the first Cotter goal, too. I’m amazed he got the pass off.

11. Blaming the refs for anything in any sport is always a bad look. In my opinion, that’s just an excuse for poor play. We took a lot of stupid penalties last night, it’s not the ref’s fault They called us out on it.

12. The refs in this game were absolute trash all around. The number of penalties was insane. They really wanted to be the center of attention.

13. That was the second time in the same game it happened, which is probably one of the reasons why Jack was so pissed.
