Venezuela players to split $3.375M of record $37M WBC prize pool

Some of these dudes should 100% opt out of payment IMO.
112k per player doesn’t seem like a lot
Just for comparison, the fifa world cup prize pool will be $655 million, the fifa club world cup prize pool was $1 billion.
On the other hand, the cricket world cup prize pool was $10 million, the t20 cricket world cup was $11.25 million, rugby world cup wikipedia doesn’t say but seems to be about $20 million. Olympics hockey and basketball don’t do prize pools like this I think.
Man some of those guys are pure minor and non MLB guys, they are in trouble with that sort of money.
So, who gets the other $34M
Awesome for the guys that are journeymen, play internationally, and/or can’t crack a major league roster.
Why so little? Let’s see how much money the broadcast lulls in on Fox. Probably a few hundred million. This is not legit
Isn’t Jesus enough?
They should give their manager a little bonus. Dude was there for free.
The other $34M must go to all the paid actors to make the Florida baseball stadium appear to be full of people.
Makes me think of that 17 year old from brazil! Awesome!
