Max Clark is starting 2026 in AAA

  1. I would prefer he started in AA.

He only played 43 AA games and had a mediocre .251 BA and a good but not great .798 OPS.

  2. He’s not ready, AA is where he needs to be. If he gets called up, it will be September at the earliest.

  3. He had a rough major league camp but looked great in the minor league. Realistically we might not see him this year but also if Meadows continues to struggle then Clark is a hot couple of months away from being called up

  4. Jesus this place can be toxic. Heaven forbid a 21yo act like a 21yo.

He’ll get called up when he’s ready and I hope he brings all that swagger with him.

  5. I’m tired of everybody shitting on a 21 year old who’s not their perfect idea of how someone should be and act. He’s progressing on a pretty decent timeline and deserves the time to figure things out—both in baseball and life. I personally don’t have an opinion one way or the other besides hoping he becomes a human being who can help my favorite jerseys who represent my favorite city do well, but either way, his success and failures aren’t reflections on the human condition. For fuck’s sake.

  6. Makes sense. He’s only 21 years old and just isn’t ready yet. It’s funny how much r/baseball hates him though
